    Anybody now Macci's Voltage??

Does anybody know off hand what core voltage Macci runs his 1.6 chip at??

    Thanks,

I think it was 1.8v... i guess... at least i remember he didn't made any Vcore mod in the P4T-e, only Vrimm, so, he's using the NW pins, and i guess it's 1.8v...

    it is a great cpu...

But there's one thing that you need to know, is that the limiting factor in the NW cpu's is not temperature or voltage, but the motherboard it self!!!

For example, his NW is exactly the same, with the exact same voltage and exact same cooling!!!

So, why did he won about +100MHz overclock over the TH7-2... you don't need extra voltage, because it's the board that's limiting the cpu Overclock... and probably the same is hapening right now with the P4T-E, since DJ told me that the Iwill i850E is great because it's, until know, the board that makes his NW go more than 3.3GHz, and in the P4T-E and TH7-2, they couln'd pass over 3.150!!!

    Wow,

I wonder if the BD7II is holding back the 2.26 chip I have.

I dont think so, the BD7 is a very very good overclocker... the TH7-II however is one of the worst boards around when it comes to CPU overclocking. I tested the Abit IT7 and it allowed me to load Windows at 3300 MHz, while on the TH7-II I have trouble with 3200. I could do 3255 stable, on the TH7 i'm limited to 3160. The TH7 is a LOT faster in 3Dmark than that IT7 though. The IT7 only has an option to run your memory at 3/4 your FSB, not 4/3... go figure

the biggest problem is that most RDRAM boards max out around 150 FSB because of the PLL they use. And if they use a PLL that wouldnt mind 200, then you can bet they strapped on some DRCG's that arent worth :banana::banana::banana:. Abit better hurry with the sucessor for the TH7
