-70c was the lowest seen though on the quad core pushing 1.80 to 1.85vcore load in 35-40c room temps
havnt seen many other ppl in the cooling section even cooling quad cores, let alone at these voltages posting bench results.
The cascade is only using 2x 1/2hp compressors though not 1hp - 1.5hp like most of the big cascades been built these days, im fairly happy with these results

You must have quite high pressures on both stages under big load, isn't it ?

I agree with you Kayl you have a very bad temps @ this load.

have you tried a quad on your cascade yet?

a quad at 1.8 vcore with load on all 4 cores will produce tremendous heat... dont know but maybe 400watts would be a good guestimate

    my 2-stager holds 4 cores load a 1,75 vcore at around -96ºC

Kayl: have you made the vdroop mod on ur mobo?

no, because my dual stage cascade is now in upgrate to triple stage :]

yes for second stage around 270psi 25c and 300 40c.
first stage is only around 160psi high side with propane, big condenser.

blaster i have done the vdroop and vcore. i got it stable at 1.7v then used vcore from there. tonight i tried 1.96v core on the 925D and it was flickering back to 1.73 , and crashed. dont think mobo liked that.
was trying for 6ghz on this cheap chip

got mine to do 4.3ghz already with 1.6vcore under modded mach2 Wprime 32M done , still testing .

true, what ya think of this one then

    best WPRIME 1032M run 297sec @ 4608MHz

    SPI 32m 12mins 32sec @ 4608Mhz

    WPRIME 32m run 9.265sec @ 4764MHz

I decided to change the first compressor out and put in a 1hp rotary in its place, i need to find another one for the second stage, but that will happen later.

Here it is on the loadtest all nice and frosty.

    E6700 results with Vcore 1.87v for validation @ 4895MHz
Highest FSB I could get was 520 1:1
For benching I used 1.82vcore, no droop experienced at load with with the dual core. -89c idle and around -75c to -80c load
HX is also now fully flooded kepping below -40c which helps second stage alot. Now second stage high side pressure at load is only 150PSI with this massive plate HX. Also being summer no more 30-40c temps during the day which also helps.

    1Mb SPI 10.922sec 4700MHz

    32m SPI 13m 02sec @ 4555MHz, booted at 10x 400 and FSB to 455MHZ.

    WPRIME results 32m@ 19sec 1024M @ 611sec

off topic: with what cooling did you achieve : 5789.97 MHz with the 925?

thanxs Duh, i used this cascade to get that validation almost 1.9vcore
i tried 1.95 but mobo crashed couldnt do that voltage

Put my latest QX6700 under the cascade tonight

    5028HMz validation
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=215560

Seems either my motherboard or my PSU is having trouble delivering the power i need to get it stable. no matter what i set the vcore to it will drop to 1.7v at load during wprime runs

SO highest i can get is only 4608Mhz with 1024 Wprime.
Funny its exactly the same speed I got with the last QX6700 and also exact same time.

thanxs gosmeyer. Yes a little while back i got to play with one for a little while on Ln2 for tv shoot. Not much results though. At the time it was the only QX6800 in asia/Australia.

kayl QX's need way les vcore
1.86vcore is just way to high , try with 1.6 to 1.7 for cascade , ure load temps wil be beter so will the oc's .
so mutch voltage is good for ss screen but not for benching

thanxs for that blind_ripper, i go a little crazy with the volts sometimes, i like to give her heaps of volts and find max oc, then at a later date fine a lower vcore to get similar results.
Seems 1.7v did ok yet to try 1.65v

    4859MHz 1Mb SPI 10.437Sec

    4788MHz WPRIME 32M 9.187sec

4680Mhz 3Dmark2001 50k not the best graphics card

dang kayl... that is a nice quad you got there... I am hoping for just 4.2-4.5ghz on my q6600 when I get it... if I can hit those speeds I'd be in heaven! nicely done mate.

eidt: what board are you running? any mods?

IMHO Waste is a computer going to a landfill having done actual computations less than 90% of it's life. 90% of the computers powered on right now are idle or powered off; what a waste! [/B]

Is it a coincidence that your wifes pc is called Uranus?

HE's a Building Machine, turning out one,two days latter it's something else. He really know his chips and what possible out of each one. Neep CPU info ask kayl,he @ some point had first hand experience.

All TV stars need a fan club,we lucky to have him.Maybe he will autograph one of his great parts.

Write a comprehensive book on OC'ing CPU's,then I see a book deal, then the real bucks start rolling in.
