That is still alot of money! If anyone had a doubt that you weren't dedicated to this idea before this, they sure shouldn't have one now Thanks for all of this nn_step

Don't know if this has been said and I mentioned it to nn_step but is there an easy way for me to get my UK Keyboard layout running on this? I don't know the American layout and it wouldn't go with my keyboard.
Grab kbduk.dll from any XP/2003 source and drop it in system32 directory.Originally Posted by Shaz
Then paste this in notepad and save as kbduk.reg:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Keyboard Layouts\00000809]
"Layout Text"="United Kingdom"
"Layout Display Name"="@%SystemRoot%\\system32\\input.dll,-5025"
"Layout File"="KBDUK.DLL"
Then rightclick and merge the file into registry, you can doubleclick it as well. Different keyboard layouts was forgotten by mistake, will be fixed in latest version.

Worked fine nn_step, thanks a bunch.
Got the .dll from Server 2003 and it was no problem.
EDIT:
Noticed, I can't get Windows Media Player to work. I just want it installed so I can stream video off some sites and a couple of things like that.
Not a major deal but still.

My bench times are a bit quicker, by a few seconds anyway. I'll have better times on my upgrade so I'll really test it properly then.
It asks me to install all these new things after I installed my sound drivers. It does it every time i reboot. Alot of it has to do with Microsoft Audio.

I wanted to ask, I am gettin together with my Computer Forensic Instructor, and a few classmates to study and talk about Software, and related work, you mind if I mention this to them, I think a few would be interested.
Also Anyone tried to use Office on this OS?

Just installed the stripped Enterprise 03 (Xtremesystems OS)and its disgustingly fast on this Athlon 1.4GHz with 512MB RAM (168pin), ATI Rage 128 Pro and a 80GB HDD. 132MB RAM usage as of posting
GF's dad said its twice as fast at the bloated XP Home install that is on the original HD. I put it on the machine, just to see how much of a difference it made. MY GOD!
Have AVG installed, and just playing around with it.
I bow to the OS Tweaking GOds!!!
USB hard drive not showing in My Computer. But shows in Device manager, and stated as working perfectly.
Tried same device on another machine with Windows XP Pro, and showed up fine.
Suggestions, recommondations, issue already addressed?
Secondary question.
Administrative tools ie. Disk Management.
Its not shown, is it not there/disabled, or need to access it another way?
So when and set up secondary HDD as an internal Slave, and still shows in Hardware manager, but not in My Computer.
enable logical diskmanager service?Originally Posted by phelan1777

Could someone help please, I downloaded the image from page 1 of the thread then checked it with MD5 thentried to install it on a new H Drive it was OK until after the reboot it would not finish the install where it gets to the part where it counts down the minutes it would not go any further when I reset the PC it would either BSOD or stall at the same point, I did not have any other H Drives or USB drives installed.
I have tried the search function but cannot find the latest version.
