Don't know if this has been said and I mentioned it to nn_step but is there an easy way for me to get my UK Keyboard layout running on this? I don't know the American layout and it wouldn't go with my keyboard.

Grab kbduk.dll from any XP/2003 source and drop it in system32 directory.

Then paste this in notepad and save as kbduk.reg:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Keyboard Layouts\00000809]
    "Layout Text"="United Kingdom"
    "Layout Display Name"="@%SystemRoot%\\system32\\input.dll,-5025"
    "Layout File"="KBDUK.DLL"

Then rightclick and merge the file into registry, you can doubleclick it as well. Different keyboard layouts was forgotten by mistake, will be fixed in latest version.

Worked fine nn_step, thanks a bunch.

Got the .dll from Server 2003 and it was no problem.

    EDIT:

Noticed, I can't get Windows Media Player to work. I just want it installed so I can stream video off some sites and a couple of things like that.

Not a major deal but still.

Excuse me but what the heck does that have to do with Benchmarking?

and of course we are keeping track of the number of downloads. And with 19,872 left.. I don't think that is a problem

Your kidding right? You spent 145 thousand dollars?

I reckon your joking, but massive props to you and all the people working on the XS OS, tis an excellent project.

What graphics overclocking software are you including as standard? Special release of ati tuner or something similar maybe?

Excellent point. Sorry, just thought it was weird it didn't install.

My bench times are a bit quicker, by a few seconds anyway. I'll have better times on my upgrade so I'll really test it properly then.

It asks me to install all these new things after I installed my sound drivers. It does it every time i reboot. Alot of it has to do with Microsoft Audio.

I beleive that media player & encoder are needed for pcmark. Just an observation. Also, I can be a beta / alpha tester if needed. Just send me the pm.

Just installed the stripped Enterprise 03 (Xtremesystems OS)and its disgustingly fast on this Athlon 1.4GHz with 512MB RAM (168pin), ATI Rage 128 Pro and a 80GB HDD. 132MB RAM usage as of posting

GF's dad said its twice as fast at the bloated XP Home install that is on the original HD. I put it on the machine, just to see how much of a difference it made. MY GOD!

Have AVG installed, and just playing around with it.

I bow to the OS Tweaking GOds!!!

USB hard drive not showing in My Computer. But shows in Device manager, and stated as working perfectly.

Tried same device on another machine with Windows XP Pro, and showed up fine.

    Suggestions, recommondations, issue already addressed?

    Secondary question.

    Administrative tools ie. Disk Management.

Its not shown, is it not there/disabled, or need to access it another way?

So when and set up secondary HDD as an internal Slave, and still shows in Hardware manager, but not in My Computer.

Could someone help please, I downloaded the image from page 1 of the thread then checked it with MD5 thentried to install it on a new H Drive it was OK until after the reboot it would not finish the install where it gets to the part where it counts down the minutes it would not go any further when I reset the PC it would either BSOD or stall at the same point, I did not have any other H Drives or USB drives installed.

I have tried the search function but cannot find the latest version.

    Can someone help please.

Right now we are doing work on our primary server but the main site will be restored as soon as possible now. But right now our First concern is that our Alphas and Betas get their copy of the latest for testing.
