But very few 0530's do 3ghz from what I have seen.

That's expected for CCB1E, what volts does it need?

I had a 175 0541, TPMW if I remember correctly, one of the worst steppings ever! Took a slight bump in voltage to get 2.4 stable!

Ironically, a 0546MPMW holds the WR for Opteron 165.
? Former owner says he ran it @2.75.-2.8GHz on stock cooling Vcore 1.5xx... shouldn't that 200MHz come if I give it 1.6-1.7 or even higher?Originally Posted by Absolute_0

I'm asking because I don't know. I'm new to the dualcore scene, is it safe**? haha, What is the danger/breaking point for a dual core amd chip with volts?
man..I ordered a dualie twice!! and wussed out twice! because monarch took too long to ship and I came to my senses with saving my money to buy stupid college books, lol...but I am pretty close to doing it again.

Does anybody know the meaning of the thermal offset? I set the temp calibration in bios now at -6 because of the offset of +6°C... But is this the way it should be interpreted? Nevertheless temperatures look very stunning this way

Asus Xonar D2X
They all seem to do 2.6ghz / 1.5v, so that shouldn't be too hard. Most of use arent happy with 2.6ghz on an Opteron though.
