XFX 7900GT Help

I got a XFX 7900gt EE (550/1630MHz) card when it just came out, I volt modded the core only and I'm now running a conservative 650/1650MHz OC (1.4V core). However, right from the start I had problems with the voltage regulator as I had massive memory related artifacts. I put an 80mm fan over the regulators and the problem went away for several months. Now however, I am starting to once again to get memory related artifacts, which are especially prominent in COD2 (black long triangles). I will most likely have to RMA the card, and since I have not been following the 7900gt trends I need some help. Firstly, has the problem been resolved? Secondly, with the new XFX 7900gt's, can you still do the core volt mod? Thanks in advance.

the only thing i could say to you is i bought a PoV 7900GT 15 days ago and got falshy green textures after 15 minutes of BF2, even after benching 3Dm06 several times, playing 4 hours of wow i got no issues...

this card is rma now and i'm really happy with my 1900XTX, this 7900 series is not reliable, besides maybe Gigabytes or MSI as they build their own pcb (asus had to buy their pcb from another manufacture for some of their cards)
