Sorry, I'm not planing any changes ATM. I'm out of spare time. If I find some, maybe I will write AM2 version.

Even after this long time you released this utility I tell you that it is the best online overclock application, ever!

    Thanks a lot!

Common lukija, I can't overclock on budget boards without A64Info...
If you wrote AM2 version, please add "add to startup" option in program just like on A64Infobeta version. Can You do that?

@Nick@crete: You cannot make custom divider just like that. AMD has integrated memory controller and memory speed is obtained by dividing CPU speed with some integer value. That integer value is controlled via memclk frequency bits ( originally only 2 bits thus 4 dividers available - 200,166,133 and 100). But there is another undocumented bit so with 3 bits you can have 8 dividers: 200,183,166,150,143,133,120,100). Newer revisions have one more bit (or maybe 2?) but only couple of them are known (217,233,250).
I don't think that the dividers are based on the traditional frequencies that were based on the ratio of the standard PCI frequency (33.3MHz) to the FSB as was the case in socket A.

I think that the memory divider ratio is decimal and works in increments of 0.1:

Divider Frequency | Ratio | Decimal Ratio
    200.000 | 1 | 1.0
    181.818 | 10/11 | 1.1
    166.667 | 5/6 | 1.2
    153.846 | 10/13 | 1.3
    142.857 | 5/7 | 1.4
    133.333 | 2/3 | 1.5
    125.000 | 5/8 | 1.6
    100.000 | 1/2 | 2.0

I work out the Memory Frequency by (ABIT terminology): (External Clock x Multiplier Factor) / (Multiplier Factor x Reference Frequency / DRAM Clock) with the reference frequency always 200MHz. The reference frequency part is simply the decimal ratio and the DRAM frequency is simply calculated by dividing 200 (the ref frequency) by the ratio (fraction or decimal).

Obviously the Memory divider is always rounded up the the next higher integer.

In the case of the 4x Multiplier Factor at a DRAM Frequency of 200 the A64 controller I think defaults to it lowest divider of 5 so you can never get DDR400 at standard clocks with a 800MHz CPU (this affects AM2 x8 Multiplier CPUs more I think).

For example Gogar says in his table at http://math.gogar.com/athlon64.cgi?htt=200&showtable=1 and thread at http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=61939 that some values don't come out as expected, and he highlights them in red. For example 11x200 on his 11/12 ratio (or 183.33 divider) is highlighted and the resulting memory frequency of 169.231 doesn't come out as expected from his calculations, howver 169.231MHz is what you get when you work out memory frequency using memory dividers based on decimal ratios.

I'm sure it's just a mislabelling of the extra ratios in the BIOS that are available on some boards that causes the confusion.

With AM2 it is more tricky because I think the memory divider is based on: CPU multiplier/2 (rounded to the next higher integer) x Ratio (and again rounded to the next higher integer)

    Anyway my $0.02.

    Cheers

Does anyone have 0.62 beta on their computer? If so could you upload it.. the original download link is dead and I formatted

I can't. I have to know which registers are responsible for setting clock generator. That means I must have some kind of documentation. For programming A64Info (memory setting tab ) I have used documentation found on AMD site.

Strange. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, Merlin just tweaked program layout, that means nothing was touched regarding functionality.

Just to make it clear, I have stopped developing this tool since I'm still using S939 system + nF4 board. AM2 is not supported , but after seeing AMD released overdrive tool I think there should be no problem for AMD fans in the future. I must say it was fun programming this tool, and the feedback/support received from you ppl was great. Thank you guys for everything.

P.S. Life goes on. I'm in a process of switching to Intel as soon as affordable 45nm CPUs come. It will be a challenge to make a similar tool for Intel.
