Dual core (X2/Opteron) Windows XP Pro SP2 user - which HAL.DLL ?

Those of you running dual core CPUs on Windows XP Pro SP2, can you please tell me the File Version of your Hal.dll file (from %system_root%\System32) ).

I had to re-install hal.dll from my Windows XP SP2 install CD and it now reads:

5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148)

Whereas it used to read (before switching to Opteron 180) :

5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

Thus I'm afraid I'm running an old version, but just extracting a new version off the SP2 cd does not work (system becomes unbootable).

So, what's the latest version of hal.dll for XP 32-bit SP2 for AMD dual core CPUs?

PS Installing the MS Hotfix for dual core CPUs does not change this (still the 'old' hal.dll).

Hi mate mines 5.1.2600.2765 it was installed around 2 weeks ago.

Now I must hunt down where to get that version of HAL, without re-installing the whole windows
