Did I miss something? Did Fugger/FCG post up a new thread with full results only to take it down moments later? Or what?

if they did it would have to have been up for only a few minutes at most for only 1 person to have seen it...I think he means that the threads where they claim to have Conroes but then never post reults were deleted...

If that wasnt a bogus thread I would have liked to see sandra results aside from super pi only.

I doubt "only" a shrink will redeem amd. together with ddr2 they will be in hot prescott shoes it seems. history will repeat itself in intels favour, but honestly, intel should have done this aeons ago with its resources...
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

perry, fill me in here. so, there was a thread posted up here about an OC'ed Conroe, or was this somewhere/time else? If it was here, who posted the thread? Just trying to figure out where this talk of a 3ghz+ Connie is coming from.

    Rumors, you know. they're bad.

I merely saw the thread on the forum frontpage as newest post in Intel - when I clicked it told me I followed an invalid link.

    Here we have the clarification
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

I wager they will lock out the multi and and other tricks to keep Conroe from being enthusiast friendly...any bets, matey...YARR!!!!

well, of course the multiplier will be locked, its always locked in non EE chips. So, yeah the fact that the FSB is so fast could bad for overclocking since the lower multiplier chips will be limited by FSB. We can start betting about how high they will clock on air if you want.

That is true, that is why I play on going with a 2.66 (10x mult) chip. That is unless we can source some 2.4 or lower ES Conroes before I can get my hands on the retail 2.66.

Frick this is nuts...I leave XS for a few days and THIS is what happens, holy hell!!!

Hopefully Shuttle will be FAIRLY ontop of things and will do what they can to get an XPC on the market that supports Conroe in the not to distant future, I can't even imagine having that kind of power available in a SFF system.

    Thumbs up

    Hey VictorWang

    Nice chip

Even with the Bios giving u some problems that chip performs amazingly well. Most of us knew Conroe will perform after seeing Core Duo, Merom performances. And Dothan on 2.8Ghz

Could you plz update your FIRST post and just add information there, like if u have troubles with BIOS or whatever. It makes it easier coz all ur information is in one spot

    Thankyou and Good luck
