Great job with the chip OP, too bad you can't OC it. Personlly I'd like to see how well it does on air and phase, dice scores are always fun to gawk at too.
All those saying AMD=dead, you keep forgetting they'll have thier .65 process in volume in Q1 2007, that is only about 3 months or so from the launch date of Conroe. I don't think they'll be able to take the lead back on performance but I'm pretty sure reduce it significantly, at the same price point vs. Intel counterparts. Things will get interesting again when K8L comes out in late 2007 for AMD, til' then they'll have to compete on price I think, which should help keep Intel prices from getting to high. Either which way it sounds like I'll be able to get a good chip for a reasonable price, go competition go!!
finally, the results everybody has been waiting for its over...
i guess XS is the first to receive the news?
Nice results on the SuperPI run!
What's all the fuss about Conroe for anyhow? Intel has had the better part of two years to develop new cores. There lead will last until AMD's next architecture comes out (K10?), then you'll all be spending money to switch again. LOL...
everyone knew it would pwn at SuperPi, the question most people have is overclocking and games, and it looks like we will be waiting a little longer for that to be answered.
wow, thanks for sharing !!!
great results.

How is Intel achieving the superpi advantage at lower speeds like that though?

short AMD, margin buy Intel. and then wait till AMD's 65nm come out, then do it again in reverse order.Originally Posted by ceevee
Rambus's stock was around $15 before they signed w/ AMD 3 months ago. Now it is around $38.79. I also look into OEM stocks. specially Dell.
Edit: Just a tip. Not responsible if you lose your shirt in Stock Market.
