You need a maze4gpu with the holes already, you wont manage it on your own. What swiftech kit has a 172w TEC and is 50mm compatible?

226 watts is the same as the 226 from dangerden, and the same as the 320watters on ebay.
You need to understand that the 226 watt tec's will move 226 watts of heat in ideal cicumstances. And they will consume 320watts.

ok, so i get the pre-built from swiftech. but that one on my cpu. cpu is done. I get the assembled vga cooler from swiftech. buy a 172 watt tec. swap the 80 watt out for the 172 and stick that on my gpu. done. maybe?

it sounds so much easier when you type it.

Yes then your power concerns begin. 172watt tec i beleive is on 24 volts. That means you need two different psu's.

Ok, I am currently talking to Viper John about his GPU waterblocks, and if they are not too expensive I will buy one and not have to worry about a crappy maze4 on my gpu.

I thought his new blocks were apogee based? His old modded 6002's were great. If you want to make your own blocks its a good experience.

If its his old blocks, which I doubt, then they look like a swiftech 6002 with 90 degree elbows for barbs.

Yes he does beutiful work, I'm still trying to figure out what style barbs he uses, and I prefer dual outlet with TEC's so I'd mod that.

So on TECs dual outlet is better than dual inlet/single outlet?

In thought all you want is to make sure the entire surface of the tec is receiving a flow of liquid. With the 6000/6002 theres already a hole in the center and a hole in the corner. I'd drill a hole (and make sure u remove all the crap before using the block) on the opposite corner. If I was crazy I'd probably cap off the center hole and drill a hole in every corner. But thats just not necesary.

I've decided not to TEC my 7800 GTXs. I think if I put another dedicated PSU on the circuit in my house I will throw breakers. I would be pulling around 25 amps on that circuit from my PC alone. Not to mention the wife's pc and monitors speakers and such.

I think I will just make a new loop and watercool the two cards.

Well, that's not a good idea. If you run 30 amps across a circuit rated for 25amps...can you say house fire?

Even if you put a larger amperage breaker on a circuit only rated for 25amps...the wires will burn up before the breaker will throw.
