Note: I was just continuing on with the "job" phrases....
Yes DELL went nuts, which idiot is going to spend 10K on a computer. You can buy a new car for that money.
Single is the way to go, not SLI what,s next OCHO SLI
Dell: Dude whats that smell, its my Dell burning like hell.
Ill take that car or pay the rent for a year.
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.
Look at it from this way... if dell sells 1, they've made more off that one they they likely do off about two dozen regular computers.
Issues I have with it (at $10k):
- You could have gotten yourself a few SCSI drives for much better performance
- Only a 1 year warrenty? You paid 10k?!
- The "Dell" logo ruins the paint job
- The fact that it's marketed as having "come tricked out with the latest version of Microsoft Windows XP"... when actually, I would think the 64-bit XP would have been the latest version... it's like Dell wants you to pay $10k and not have 64-bit support, the fastest processor available, or DirectX 10 compatability.
Serra
They should have included the 30" widescreen LCD too... just for kicks...

DX10 will cripple it,
Also, the whole thing with it being intel is going to stink
(im going to assume its intel since i am on dialup and that page is taking 30+mins to load for me)
i'm gonna enter. if by some COMPLETELY random chance i win, apart the machine goes and gets sold as parts, except the monitor and video cards
Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them
Even overclocked to 4.26 GHz, it's slower than FX-60 stock in games by a significant margin.Originally Posted by Willis
