Ok my ageing 580x board is having some bios troubles and ASUS did not provide a good bios for almost a year... (latest 6 month old release has a HT multiplier LOCK at 5x!)
I went from a single ocz gold gb stick and a 3800+ X2 to a 5000+ G2 and 4x1gb sticks ocz 1066 (sli branded) memory which works just fine.
So as I upgraded the whole system except the mobo it is time for it to go.
Another build may be intel again so another thread may be opened for that in a few months.
Ok priorities.
-I don't want it to be too expensive and rather have a sub $100 motherboard.
-I can ONLY order from www.zipzoomfly.com due to my location. regrettably NO other website..
-I prefer, or better yet, require all solid caps (!) on the motherboard for reliability purposes... (we have a lot of power issues on the island, I suspect the brown outs/black outs to have taken the toll on the mobo/hdd's)
-I also would like the latest gen chipset, if possible with the 780g just incase the system might become a low wattage powersaver box in the future using the igp w/o the powerhogging 8800gts (we pay $0.30 US$ kWh).
-would like a manufacturer that releases regular stable and good overclocking bios releases for my black edition 5000+.
Focus is also on later possible phenom upgradability.
Any specific boards u guys would recommend?
current system specs see my sig.
