    Help me with my TCCD sticks plz

    hi everyone!
    got these wonderful sticks from xgman
    they are G.Skill PC4800FF with week 440 chips
    with the 0516 FX-57 @ 9 multi they are able to do 300 mhz SPi 8M stable @ this timings:
    Vddr: 2.8v increasing to 2.9V doesnt help to get more mhz
    Tcl: 2.5
    Trcd: 3
    Tras: 5
    Trp: 3
    Trc: 7
    Trfc: 12
    Trrd: 2
    Twr: 2
    Twrt: 2
    Trwt: 2
    Tref: 133MHz 1.95us (4196)
    Twcl: 1

    Bank int.: Enable
    Skew control: 255
    Drive strength: 7
    Data strength: 2 (4)
    Max. Async: 8ns
    Read Preamble: 5ns
    Idle Cycle: AUTO
    Dyn. Counter: Enable
    R/W Bypass: 16x
    Bypass Max: 7x
    32Bit Gran.: Disable

    i'm now going to switch to BigToes' 704-2BTA bios and see if it helps

    any suggestions about the timings?

    PS sry guys, no screenie for now as i'm using s3 2mb pci card that isnt able to show anything higher than 640x480 ((
    gonna buy another card and get you some screenies

    What is your goal?

    Your timmings/DRAM settings are quite tight already. TRFC=14, TWCL-2 may allow you to gain a bit more stability, though. You seem to be on the right track with DS/DDS. Higher than DDR600 5-3-3-2.5-1T is where rocky road starts for a lot of average/good TCCD modules.

    @ bachus
    my aim is to reach about 310mhz @ 2.5-3-3-X to get max bandwidth to play with my opty 150
    i'll play with x2 3800+ with BH controller now and see if it improves anything
    i'll comback soon

    Well, don't get too excited just yet. It will take a lot more than good kit to get you there. Has this particualr kit been known to reach those speeds with the previous owner? Try TRCD=4 to see if that helps you get 310Mhz first. You will loose some bandwidth but fully stable DDR620 6-3-4-2.5-1T is a lot easier to come by for many TCCD sticks.

    tref = 3120
    preamble = 6
    Tras = 8
    Trrd = 3
    Twr= 3
    Trwt= 3
    Trc: 7\12\16\18\20\22
    Trfc: 12\16\18\20\22

    dont try tight timings until you have STABLE timings for the speed you want, 8mb pi test is hardly that stressful

    o yea, u might want to try FX60 beta bios, and screw benchies, benchmarks suddenly become 100% less impressive when somone asks "is it game stable?" and the thread starter replies "oh no, just benchmarks"

    thats like me saying i can get my TCCD to DDR650 but its actually only stable up to DDR620 ish
