    E6600ES on Vapo LS benching..

    Hi Guys

I played around with my E6600ES Step 5 B1 yesterday, under my Vapo LS. heres what i got so fare.

3d01 was not so good, course i´m in REAL need of some more GPU power now. that was the bottleneck. it was funny to watch that Dl and DH did not improve score at alle from 4150mhz to 4450mhz. it just stayed the same as when i benched with water CF here i come

I lost the bad axe some time after the bench. it worked fine for some time, but then sudely after a reboot, did not turn on again

There is plenty of mhz left in the cpu. these results was done with only 1.56v. i need to do vmch mod

Intel XBX 304 (pin modded . No vmch or vdimm mod) DEAD !!

Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected ?

    dARE i say it?

    Xtreme.

Sorry to hear about the Mobo, what was the FPS increase when you increased the CPU on DL and DH? how CPU limited are you? im thinking of running similar setup but @ hopeful speeds of 3.6ghz CPU and x1900xtx @ ???/???

but im concerned now that i will be GPU limited also.

    Thanks Sioux and Great work.

    Thanks

Sorry if i was not clear I´m def not CPu limited. running only 1 X1900 is the bottleneck for sure. DL and DH did not inprove at alle on a 300mhz cpu increase

I just pulled up the clamshell, so it would not touch the components next to the cpu socket. I then used som speciel screws to make it fit with an old s939 kit

    Good work there SIOUX.

It's just funny to read, that you are GPU limited with slightly overclocked XTX.
    Monster CPU power.

About the BAD AXE dying. I've read somewhere on XS, that they can't take (can't handle) sub zero cooling.
    Will you get yourself a P5W ?

Thank you no, i think i will stick to the bad axe. this one did 493 (chilled water)unmodded, and i like the stabilty when oc´ing. if i can get one more like this i will be happy. but if it turns out that i will loose the next one to subzero also, then i will go for something else indeed

Nice score there, SIOUX, but not so clean setup

You should not use that plastic under mobo, use something else

Why? it'll only conduct the electric charge along its surface

But yeah, using an anti static bag under the motherboard just might not be the greatest idea.

Would you say the old 939 Kit would be a good idea for 24 / 7 use?
