    Chilly1 Continuation tread

OK been sick again.. this time I went to the doctors as soon ais I got sick.. I feel better, the doctor hopefully will give me the all clear tomorrow.. I hope so....I got a few units that need to go out .. dame late on everyones and for this I am really sorry.. I promise to get them done.. I got Another helper so there will be three peeps here.. Including me... Fuggers brother is almost ready to go back to work.. SO yeah we are going to kick some A@@ at least that is the plan,, I got a vapo to SLI up first. This will ship on wed, with most of the parts orders. Again sorry for all the delays... THis SLI unit is really late and I Am certian it will be the best single compressor SLI mod I have ever done.. IT has one of the new condensers whose size dictated the fan be placed in front to clear the display. THe only thing holding me up is position of the head? the INterior evap needs to be in the proper position as there is only about 15 degree of rotation available in the hose, so I need to determins the position of the board in relation to how it will be used....

did that embraco compressor come with the vapo? or is the case the only thing that's making it a vapo unit still?

    looks sweet.

to improve condensor performance, you can sandwich an old 25mm thick fan inbetween the fan and condensor. This will eliminate the dead spot of the current fan. Just make sure to rip out the guts of the fan.

BTW, that desuperheater looks pretty small. Admittedly I know jack about HVAC, i would think that such a small desuperheater wouldnt do much?

Nah Maxxx, the condenser has enough capacity. Desuperheater is just to compensate for lack of capacity of condenser really. It is better if we don't have to use one for oil flow purposes.
Looking good reggie (In my case, I found it easier to just take out shroud and rivet it from the other side instead of trying to bend the pipe... not sure what you did on yours :P)
I hope you do get better soon. Lot of liquid and proper sleep man. That 3-4 hours gotta go.

Yup, no question your work is the best Reg That coil looks more about vibration damping than much for desuperheating but will give a little extra, and not so much that anything wants to stick in there.

Just take care of yourself, cos from both a business and a personal level, we need you healthy but it's good to see that you're still able to handle the work too.

Nice looking SLI kit, and that compressor looks like it'll do the job nicely.

Far as 'twinning' up Vapo controllers I'd think you'll be in the same kind of position as with the frosters, if you want full safety on it you'll need custom programming and it's likely a better bet to go with the Froster X as you'll know that you can get the right setup with it

Exactly swiching sides on teh schrod is easy with these.. Adn the coil is for dampening purposes so the coil does not get damaged in shipping.. (This was the issue on all of teh vapo's and Mach's that got damaged over teh last few years. THey had too short of a pipe from teh compressor to the condenser and this caused the movment of the compressor in shipping to fatiuge the condenser inlet at teh brazed junction of the pipe to the condenser... ) There were a few other weak points in bioth the vapo's and Mach's that caused shippng damage, but ultimately it was primarily due to rough handeling)

I think that is more a vibration dumpener, not a dsh, that new condensors has enough capacity.
Take care of you Reggie, we dont want another young Dead legend "a la " James dean

So far had a few issues on teh dual head 1 compressor. balance between is almost impossiable to get best o far is 15 degrees defferance -40 on head and -55 on the other at 5 inches avacume.. Flo test tells me both heads are identical.. SO>>>>> IT's on the fourth rip down and rebuild.. Hope it works this time.. This is the reason I no longer do these single compressor dual heads..... about 1 out of 3 ends up being a nightmare to tune.. I make every part identical soldered them all the same and still no balance... Been through 4 heads 3 lines and 4 captubes so.... I am going to try sometihing new to balance it and see what happens... bad thing is that aes a 90 degree and a straight head I had it working now as 2 90's it wont balance....

Why not keep it straight head and 90 and see what happens? I'm sure it could get worked out.....

Are both heads at the same height? Do you use a T on suction?
