    FELIX you have a PM. That version fixed my bug.

    Wierd thing is if i set 4444 via bios CPUZ still reads 4449. Any idea what is causing that? Is my RAM really running 4444 or is the DS3 somehow not applying these changes correctly?

    My motherboard is the one in my signature.
    Run the install inf file.

    On another note, is there a 64bit version?

    Hello FELIX:
    Thank you for create this tool It's So useful tool.
    But, It can't work in my ASUS A3 notebook PC 915GM board.
    When I change the CAS, the windows crash.
    I try to change the value of CAS up or down, the windows always crash.

    So the result is the value marked by red can not be changed.(Cause windows crash)

    The other values can be changed.(work normally).
    I have attached the picture below:
    I have tested it in another notbook PC of ASUS A6, the case is same

    Could have a look with it, Thanks a lot!

    BTW
    I found the datasheet of the Mobile 915PM/GM/GMS here.

    http://developer.intel.ru/download/d...s/30526401.pdf

    May be it can help you a bit.

    READ the ReadMe file.

    You need to right click & install the install.inf file

    I'm getting that same weird reading error on my DS3. I happens randomly (not all the time) I have memory set to 5-5-5-15 in BIOS, everything else on Auto at 300FSB 1:1 ratio (ie: only DDR2 600 for my DDR2 667 ram)

    Any IDEAS? Is this a stability related problem? Or just a reading error?

    I dont have any problem with this app on my MSI 915G combo.

    Also no problem with CPU-z used with the very same time.
    CPU-Z update his repport 1 second after the change.

    Runs like a charm, thanks.

    Man if you are trying to put "3" over there, the Windows crash simply cuz your memo dont support this timing. Try to set it to 5.

    Here is a new beta version:

    MemSet22beta2

    -Add support for A64(ddr&ddr2)

    -Add some highers value in each combos on 965 chipsets.
    -add a box "Lock mchbar when close" on 965 chipsets.

    Normal operation is:Unlock mchbar(where are timings registers)->
    Read,and eventualy write values->Lock mchbar when close the application;
    but some 965 motherboards don't accept a second accesin mchbar,
    it's why memset read [-7.7.7.-.-.63.-.-.-...] and cpu-z 10.15.15.31.
    Then i add a box "Lock mchbar when close" on 965 chipsets.
    This box is checked by defaut,uncheck it if you have this problem.
    If you are sure you finished to use memset and cpu-z,
    advise to check again for Lock mchbar.

    guys if you had read the thread instead of going right to the last page you would have seen Felix said exactly why it gives the wierd readings and how NOT to let it do that.

    @ FELIX,

    Hi! I would like to report couple bugs I found, while playing around with on ASUS P5B Deluxe (Intel 965P) and your latest beta Memset:

    - amount of memory incorrectly reported as 2048MB instead of 4096MB --> screenshot,

    - memory ratio incorrectly reported as DDR2-666 (4:5) instead of DDR2-889 (3:5) --> screenshot,
    Thanks

    Hi Felix

    I have a P5B Dlx and d/l the latest Memset Beta 2.2

    My problem ?

    The Memset window/program does not fully display - I try to re-size it so that I can see all the settings, but no go.

    I have a *lot* of my XP Services DISABLED to maximize machine efficency.

    I'm wonderingthen does Memset require certain XP SERVICES to be running in order to properly display ?

    I am running XP SP2.

    Thx,
    Ben
