    What to do?

I already have an X1900XTX with an SLI mobo.
Should I buy a crossfire mobo and an X1900 Master card or should I buy a 7950GX2? Have a 2405FPW so max res 1900x1200.

Which will give best frame rates with all on maximum?

Need your opinions guys so can make up my mind.

You wanna try Quad-SLI with 7950GX2 or what?

7950GX2 it's way better then 1900XTX, so I don't believe it's going to be hard to chose.

I think he means 1900XTX in CF vs. single 7950GX2

    yes i did.

i can pick uo an x1950xtx for $250(USD) less than a GX2 here in Oz.are they a good stepup from an X1900XTX in terms of performance? was thinking of building a better 2nd rig for mrs and using the X1900XTX in that hence the reason for upgrading now rather than waiting for R600/G80.

how does the X1950 fair against 7950GX2, is it worlds apart at res i would be using?

thanks for the posts so far.

x1950xtx for $250?? and it's not even release yet, you can make a huge profit out of that card, compare single GPU with dual GPU?? I'd say no fair at all !!! if you can afford X1950 CF then it will outperform 7950X2 for sure

No denying the power of crossfire at that res w/ AA

    7900GTX SLI vs x1900 CF:

    Old review

X1900 easily stays ahead, but it is an old review, and drivers have come quite a ways. Something more recent-

    x1950 Crossfire vs 7950GX2 quad:

    HL2 Lost Coast

And on subsequent pages. Of course, my favourite game:

    BF2

Quad manages to keep ahead a few fps, but 7900gtx sli doesn't compete.

You decide of course. I would never get dual cards for gaming simply because next gen usually destroys 2 cards. If you have extra cash, I'd say grab the crossfire.

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.
