Is your A8N32 onboard sound noisy???

I have used the onboard sound of my previous ASUS A7V333 and ECS K7SA5 with good results.

But the onboard sound on my new A8N32 has a lot of electrical noise and buzzing. Sometimes I even get audible pops.

How many else have this problem and do I have a defective board????

My DFI NF4 SLI-D and previous ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe also had the same issue, so I'll agree with Maxxx and say probably not.

I've had two of the A8N32 SLI Deluxe boards and haven't had a sound problem with either.

Some have reported the P4C800 to have the same noise/buzzing problem.

It's hit and miss. The A8N32 I have sounds great. In fact, the audio sounds tons better than any DFI NF4 I had. On the other hand, of my DFI NF4s I had, there were about 3 that had this nosie you talked about. While other 5-6 didn't.

Yes, i've bought a Soundblaster live! for my P4P800SE.
Anyway is your wall socket grounded ? That may help too, because my PSU (and most) do create some noise on the ground and when you wall socket isn't grounded you could hear that.
