Thats pretty cheap. I dont know what the price for a core duo @ 1.66 is, but to get a whole system for 800 is really sweet.

Just to point out also that is not a keyboard or mouse with it. But still is a cheap way into a Mac for a new comer. The software alone is worth 250 I would say. And do spend the cash and get 1gig or ram for it.

Cheap? The SC mini should be the same as g4 mini, at $499, I have bought one for DC mini if the price was $699. It' the worst realease during the past 2 years.

Ok cheap for Mac people. The idea is a conversion tool to get people to look at Macs as an alternative to that other OS every one else runs.
But just FYI I hope there is not a lot of people switch or I will have to start running virus scanners again!

That's a great move! Someone already replaced the 1.83 yonah for a 2.0 in his intel imac. I guess I'm getting one!

When you're at it - try to get Windows installed - iirc there was a $5000 or more price for the first person to be able to do it.

Show us some xbench. Then after that, get it running Rosetta for us. That thing cant use too much power while runnin Rosetta, and it'll probably be really good (this mac is:http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/sh...p?hostid=97215)
