just do what i did...
went to a local...very small ......computer parts shop....and picked up the only 3100 the guy had.....mounted my old 2nd hand prometeia mach I....modded by the MASTER OF COLD...ricky......and spend a few hours enjoying myself.......then i saw that nobody...yet...achieved thet speed on a 3100 semprom.....
i have an WR....nice....and i shared with the guys here....

its simple, go look at fra3ks clocks.

his chip is same core, same rev core.
his chip is SLOWER stock speed.
his chip has LOWER multi
his chip is on AIR
his chip is 113mhz FASTER than yours.

thats why its not impressive to me. WR or not, doesnt make it a great overclock.

EDIT:

so it clear what i mean. you both have same core chips(his being binned SLOWER).

his overclock is 1657MHz on AIR.
your overclock is 1344MHz on PHASE.

i already told you, wether or not its a WR doesnt change the fact is not a great oc.

seems to me you would rather have some sort of recognition instead of actual performance increase. since your cpu is still slower.

Actually, steelballz came in bragging about an overclocking which relatively isn't all that great, and yet he keeps denying that fact, begging for some medal. In my opninion, WSP just has the right to brag. Which I think he didn't in the first place.

and i have a 2600 laying in a corner....i had issues with the ldt...but i wasnt aware of that....and i thought the chip was a lemon....then i slapped the 3100..and found the same problem....280 htt max.....
i set the ldt to auto and that solved my problem....didnt tested the 2600 again...

but multi 8 is much harder....and i need a decent psu

not amazing...i know....but for me was very nice....sharing my results....good or not so good...is something i like to do....


note: the 3100 heats up a lot....1,6 vcore 52ºc with gygabyte rocket pro

My Palermo 2800 at 2.9~(dead now) 1.75vcore loads around 48C on the hyper 6+.

And to you guys, whether you like it or not, this is WR for 3100+
Even if you reached 3200mhz on a 3100+ and did NOT document it, steelballz still has the record.

Are you implying you have a better 3100+ overclock, or any other CPU. If you don't document it, you DON'T have it, unless you want to live in your own world.

When you split everything up into enough seperate catagories you'll eventually find a section where you're the best because no one else cares. That's the case here. That's a really poor speed to be considered a record.

That's a really poor speed to be considered a record.

This is a 99.00$ dollar chip here people. Its the record for his chip,thats all he is saying. Wheres all this rudeness coming from guys? There are 300.00$ opterons that can't reach this speed,yet someone post a record for his Sempron and gets bashed. I myself appreciate a nice OC on a cheap chip.
