not that great, this has been beaten on air with a chip 200mhz less stock speed

Look at a users OCs named Fl@me. You been beaten. Trust us. Its more impressive when done on air like most here do. Low FSB just hurts your OC score even more. Your really running slower because most who get 3200mhz are doing 400+ Fsb with lower model semprons. The super locked multiplyer is really killing you. You would have been better off with a 2800.

    really
i dont see the point of this comments.....
per cpu-z search database this is the 3100 palermo with the great validation so far
maybe i choose the wrong place to put the score.....why theres different categorys....?
if theres a 3100 with more than 3144 is not validated on the cpu-z database

can u link me to it....

its not impressive because its on sub zero cooling, and still a couple mhz off the record for E6 semprons even though your chip has higher stock speed.

so, even though it has way better cooling, it still doesnt even match slower stock speed chips.

Nice oc, but I also doubt that its a wr.
And why do most ppl place their hdds upsite down? According to Hitachi/ibm you can place them 90° and 0°,but 180° stillhurts the heads...

do u compare all the amd cpus....or there is a category for each one?
    grumpf

since when subzero cooling on extreme systems is not good....cause u dont have one...?
u dont like my score....i saw that...enough said...
dont need to diminishe other ppl....after all its my 1sr WR.....cause its a WR no matter what u said......and the only smart thing for u to do is try to overtake my score

Its still a nice oc and that is what I said, but to be honest its not that great, because there are ppl with a 2800+ hitting 3280Mhz on air. So anything above 3.3ghz would be really awesome in my eyes.

    what he said.^^^

its not that sub zero cooling is bad. its just the fact that it IS sub zero cooling, and still not beating slower stock chips on air.

Maybe I have to go back to the budget overclocking and try to get my Palermo 2800+ WR back .

Steelballzz up the volts and go on OC,ing, My old 2800+ Palermo reached 3047Mhz @ 1.93V with boxed cooling with room temps around 20c , The chip still works great.

not to be a prude, but it's a known fact that 754 chips don't o/c as well. silicon is not as good in other words. it could have been better, yes. but i say good job for you & ur lil' chip

I wouldn't say that. 1,400MHz (air) on my 2800+ is pretty good.

???? 1,400 mhz is actually slower than a 2800+ is rated ..... right?

An overclock of 1,400MHz...Check my link validation file. Most 64-bit Semprons will overclock at least 1GHz easily, given the right mobo. I've had five now,all but one did over 1GHz stable, and that one was not a 64-bit Sempron.

yeah, i got 2.84ghz STABLE on water with a chip with a 8x superlocked mutli. no up or down.

he got 3.14ghz suicide with sub zero cooling with a chip 4-9x multi. and 200mhz faster stock speed.

also, people have gotten higher than his with a 2800 on AIR. this is a faster chip stock and on sub zero.

    see what im saying.

    no man
    i dont see your point
i didnt made the WR chart.....someone did....and they divided into categories....see.....
so your 2800 has the WR for semprom 2800 and the semprons overall.....my chip has the WR for 3100 palermo and the 2nd best score overall the categorys of semprons
    if u cant understand this......
stop hijacking my thread...and stop the talking about your 2800....this is not about 2800+....its about a 3100 palermo
if u have a validation for a 3100 higher than mine plz post....if not....well...enough said

    That was a great effort.

You just need a 4000+ Newark underneath your cooling and these boys would be getting out of your way...
Just like you want a 4000+ Newark, I want some sub-zero cooling like yours...NOW!

    HURRY UP OCZ!!!

Before the Newarks I would agree with you but the 3700 last year and now the 4000+. These chips are running conservatively on air 3100MHz and 3200MHz on a good water setup. That little screenie I had at 3388MHz was just at 80F. With this guy’s cooling, lidless and a 13 multiplier...look out!

So, a lucky clocking chip on air is more impressive than normal clocking on subzero? You can't always get the best clocking hardware out there, sometimes the only way to fight it is to freeze it n juice it. IMHO its more impressive that way...

i dont get excited about average clocking.

yeah, dude, you can have your victory, doesnt change the fact it cant keep up with slower chips even though its under phase.

i could say i have the WR for 2800+ 35W newcastle mobiles too, just because nobody else spent the time to bench it. doesnt change the fact it could be beat by a regular newcastle chip.

steelballzz,I forgot to mention, nice OC and congrats. I think its a great OC considering its a 99.00$ chip.
