p5wd2-e - no boot with 3 kinds of ram...

Hi,

i have a strange problem with my asus p5wd2-e,
the system wouldn't boot, i tryed 3 kinds of ram, also singlechannel...

the strange thing is, if i use the amibios keycombo to boot (shift+ins),
i can enter bios, change all the setting and i can also boot into win.
but if i take the power away, the system wouldn't boot again, also @ stock.

it's like the ram is incompatible and the board couldn't boot, the screen is just black, till i use the keycombo,
but like i said, it stable and I tried differen kinds of 2gb kits (e.g. 2x kingston).

i primes my 940D @ 4.2ghz, so it can't be a heat or powerproblem,
other stuff is 1900xt, ocz520ps.

in addition to that the gfx only use pcie 1x - that leads to only 8.5k 3d05 with 4.2ghz...
i gues that forced booting is the reason, there is no option in bios to set the pcie link,
so maybe the board didn't boot every feature couse of the ram issue...

are there any know solutions or reason for that problem?
newest bios is on.

well, i found the problem.

the pcie lanes are both defectively.

with a pci gfx the system boots without any problem.
