If they would cut second outlet in upper coat that would increase flow through the block making it less restrictive - like Antarctica.

So Nicksterr (I think it was him) was right after all...

I'm amazed, swiftech did an optimization on there own.

If you have a cooling question or concern feel free to contact me.

Huh, they didn't forget Storm, glad to see that I hope we'll see some new radiators soon (Maybe MCR-320?) w/ low price and DDC-Plus based pump

If I ever get one for some wierd reason, like I get money in excess amounts, I'd drill thru that extra spot and get dual barbs going.

You should really take a look at the G7 thread over at OCAU. Cathar explains why he didn't go with dual outlets in the thread. The internal combining is the same as using a 'Y' adapter outside the block.... makes for a cleaner installation and just as effective.

Suffice to say that Swiftec didn't really come up with this optimization on their own.... Cathar had shown the world this feature several months ago on the G7.

Waiting impatiently for March 1st for Swiftech's comparison. Hopefully it won't be complete crap since they should be comparing the old Storm to Rev. 2. Max get your test rig running and put this new block through its paces so that we can all have an unbiased look at it.

If i had a storm, I'd run paralel 50z's from a single res, each pump into a Y into the storm and out to seperate rads then back to the res. The storm woudl benefit from so much flow/velocity/head.

lol.. far from it. as others have said, Stew did this with the G7 a number of months ago.. Swiftech has just now gotten the siwftech version of the G7 mods done and ready for sale.

Anyway, its nice to see that Swiftech is keeping up with Stews advances with regards to the Storm

What you just described is the poster child for a parallel system, and is totaly useless for the storm.

creidiki: Please keep us informed on when we can get the new top and midplate. I just got my Storm 2 weeks ago and would like to have the new pieces w/out having to throw down a chunk of cash. Thanks for getting us this info. it really eases my mind to know that we can hopefully upgrade.

Well guys my rev.2 Storm will be here tomorrow (22nd Feb). I'll take pics and post 'em on here. I will post my new results asap but you have to keep in mind my setup and the hardware I'm using before you make your assumptions.
Maxxx will be able to provide much more error-free results im sure.

why do i suspect we're talking well below the 1C margin here? just getting a good mount will be more benificial than a new top plate.

lol bloody.. u do have a point.. BUT with a good mount and the new top plate you could get 2C instead of one 1... thats twice the performance

I suppose that might depend on your system in general. Any comments from the real WC champs?

I'm not shure of this, but the the biggest difference between this and the original will be on systems with many blocks and or systems with weak pumps.

and in my experience, getting a mount is nearly a miracle, much less a good mount
every little bit does help, though. I'm just waaaay too cheap to shell out the money for it (the original parts were not with my money )
