    Best ram for 290+?

    Hi there,

i just kicked my old nf3 back into gear and i need to replace the geil 512mb stick of ram with some good stuff, so what would you guy advise for my 2800 clawhammer & dfi nf3?

1gb sticks would be ok, but i would prefer to have 2gb.

i was looking around and it seems tccd is good for 1:1 high htt but it has high latency and there is bh5 that will keep the latency low but will probably top out at 250.

so at the moment im a bit , looking through the sticky at the top this looked quite good - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...ce_Series.html (top one)

no budget and if it can be bought from www.overclockers.co.uk, that would be great as they are a short drive for me.

    Thanks,

the gskill HZ is probably your best bet, but you most likely won't hit 290 with them. the only 1gb sticks that can reliably hit 290+ is ballistix, and they'r eno longer in production so you would have to buy them used in the classifieds. also, tccx and bh5 don't come in 1gb modules.

forget about RAM at 290+ on s754, 270-280MHz is more realistic goal... but even that might be out of your reach since you have Clawhammer.
