Is Their a magazine out that is aimed at computer Hobyist/over clockers?

I think this would be a good idea if it doesn't already exist. Just articles similar to the "news" section on XS. maybe some interviews with manufactures. stories on world records. You could probably get companies like Newegg, OCZ or Monarch to help funding by placing some ad's in their as well. I think it would be cool, does it already exist?

If we took a month of NEWS from XS. We'd need a book.

yeah that'sr eally the problem. A monthly publication would be completely outdated by the time it hit stands, especially since magazines like that have a 2-3 month lead-in time minimum. Just not feasible with how fast our tech. moves.

It would be a little dated but if the material was good people would read it.

    way outdated.

Here are a few news articles from about 3 months ago, which would be an early lead-in for a February issue.

Would you really want to pick up a magazine right now and read about the release of the X1800XT and advance GTX 512 rumors and the Sony rootkits as though they are breaking news?

There not much point really, its has already been suggested that magazines and newspapers are suffering because of the net i.e people getting their info from forums and news sites. Why read month, week or day old news when we normally hear about anything interesting first on XS.

The lead-time from writing to production is just too long for a magazine to keep up, plus would the customer base really be large enough to justify it - especially when most potential customers will probably have got the information off the internet already.

hmm, this brings up an interesting point though...

would anyone be interested in co-foudning an overclocking e-zine?

i'm thinking something bi-weekly, with a going records page, hardware previews/reviews, interviews, editorials, and a feature story or two. then a few pages each issue dedicated to the best OC's of the last 2 weeks.

We'd need reps from all the major forums and teams, including team japan of course

I really think it has some potential... anyone agree?
I used to have links here demonstrating how awesome I am, but it's been so long that they're not very relevant (and the pictures have disappeared), so I guess I'll have to get working on new stuff.

I would also be really intersted in it. I think its a great Idea I would be willing to help out if some one has the knowledge to start it. I know readers would be interested in that. It would be cool to just have Interviews from people who broke new records, to hear tips on how they did it ect.. If it caught on im sure sponsers would help out.

I could help with the E-zine if needed...
as far as mags...I have read some and they are just lame case modding and weak overclocks. I guess good for non-forum people.

I used to like MaximumPC, but I'm not sure If it got watered down, or I got smarter but I find it to be a bit noobish now.
