Question Can you burn in memory controller??

Guys got me an FX60 CPU - usign a MSI DIAMOND PLUS MOBO I succesfully benched 06 @ 235x15, but it was clear to me that it would not go much higher.

I have now re-installed the LANPARTY EXPERT mobo and now my FSB is stuck at 225Mhz (so best overclock so far is 216*16 or 225*15).

Either way it looks cold buggy but I wondered if the is some stress test (say memtest) I could run for long periods that would help loosen up the controller a bit?

Any thoughts on how to 'burn in' the memory controller and does it work?

LOL @ you as u dont have a clue do ya?

Seriously - I know where the mem controller is situated on my FX60, but I thought OPB or OPP had successfully burnt in the memory controller on a cold bugged FX57 by running memtest for a few days.

Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience of this.

Cold bugged FX60 is not as much fun as I thought it would be any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

I have heard of people using copper plates of a certain thickness between the evap and cpu to keep the cpu a little warmer, but I'm not a phase change user myself so I can't say for sure.

I think a GOOD single stage is perfect for FX-60, or the way you can vary the temp with LN2.

Arhhh - yes I never thought of Sandra - it would be better to do it in a windows environment me thinks.

I am gonna run some tests and report back.

    Cheers
