Right but you checked an X1900 XT correct? I have an XTX so I'm guessing it runs with a slightly higher voltage (1.45v) and that's what RivaTuner reports. For those of you wondering how to get it to work with X1900 (only hw monitoring works) go to RivaTuner's forums and check out the sticky.Originally Posted by irev210
Anyone got more then 725Mhz on GPU stable? i set over ati tool 1.45V to GPU ... mems at 873, anything higher cause artefacts (in deep freeze its nicely visible, black dots), setting higher voltage dont help.

Nah using water so temps never get above 48 C. When setting the memory to 870 mhz I use 2.150v/2.120v for the two memory voltages.Originally Posted by spajdr

I have a VF700 on my X1900 XT board. So i redused the stock voltage.
I'm running 600-750 @ 1.15v and 1.9v for 2D and 3D now. It uses a little bit more than the 500-600 @ 1.2-2.1 stock. Because of the high clocks. But its silent and quite cool. The VF700 cant handle Stock X1900 XT 3D clocks and voltages. it will run @ 80c or more with fan @ 100% (12v).
So i need A VF900 or Accelero X2 The Stock cooler is a bit to noisy for me. The plastics hood arround the fan is causing that noice by resonating at the fribrations of the fan. But the Stock cooler peforms realy well. A Accelero @ max fan speed wil have a higher temp than a X1900 Stock @ 100% but it will run more silent.
1.55 is much :| i would not date to use it unless i can run @ 60c max. But i well need WC cooling for that. Also take a look at the VDDIC Voltage in ATi Tool. It will help you run your ram more stable. Without i raising that one i could not run 800 MHz without iminate artifacting. If i set VDDIC @ 1.58 i can run it artifact @ 800 MHz free up to 80c core temp. After 80c is lockup.

Stock cooler is crap...i dunno how ati put a cooler like that on a vga with the performance of the x1900 series...
Well did some modifications...
Just started to see the max gpu speed...mem's default, cpu not maxed, benchs at 3345!
6k would be pice of cake with vga aircooled and single core!
I will put 2tornados later on the card
btw just for the record...
I made a run comparing with my old 7800gtx512mb with same cpu speed and vga's default
Score with 7800gtx512 - 5138
Score with x1900xtx - 5418

Well i have VDDIC at 1.5 and mems are running fine up to 873Mhz.Originally Posted by Astennu

Nope mine is Built by ATi brand but it's the same thing.Originally Posted by spajdr

I don't like WC. I had WC years ago. Then whent to prmeteia for cpu rest all Air. That was the best for me. Now i'm back @ full air. But the X1900 get realy hot.
I hope the VF900 will do the trick otherwise i'll think of WC got a big case so u would easely fit. But its expecive and the gains are not gigantic.
For cpu u get like 5-10c lower temps Compaired to a good air cooler like Zalman 9500 or TT BT.

wow, 1.15V is real good for 3D stable clocks of 600/750. Makes me wonder why you need up to 1.4v just for 50mhz more on the core which is stock for the XTX. Card should run real cool with those low volts.

I think its the temperature. I I cant get 700 @ 1.45v and also not @ 1.35v. Anyway 1.35v works better than 1.45v. Temps are to high for my VF700 and the X1900 core so i get Artifacts if i get in the 80-90c temp zone.Originally Posted by cantankerous
Current temp is like 64C load in ATi tool with zalman VF700 @ 12v. So not quite cool. Stock cooler douse a better job.

Ok, so if I understand this right:
1) Disable ATI hotkey poller
2) Reboot
3) Set core voltage to 1.4v (what about mem?)
4) Overclock
5) Run 3Dmark?

That's about right...you can keep mem voltages the same and you should be able to gain a significant amount on that clock, tho playing with the voltages (more or less, depending) may get you better results.Originally Posted by LenniZ

I was able to do 760 (XT) on an air cooler I made myself out of an old Volcano 7+ CPU sink 800 on water, but it's worse scores than 790. Mem just blows though and won't go over 830 no matter what I do...although I haven't tried over 1.525 on VDDCI, but even that setting didn't seem to help one little bit...
i cant get more then 870 on mems without black dots .. anyone have higher Mhz for RAMs? if so, how much and what voltages set?

My XTX does 990 if I overclock with driveheaven.net's tool (2.006V) and 910 if I overclock with ATITOOL (2.225V / 2.130V).Originally Posted by spajdr

Those are memory speeds. Gpu on water and sinks on memory with a fan. I can bench 805/910 without artefacts.Originally Posted by giorgioprimo

805Mhz on GPU? omg .. what voltages? anything over 760Mhz at GPU hangs for me, no matter if i set 1.55V on GPU or 1.575Mhz. I got heatsinks on RAMs (from Zalman Cu700) and fan on it, with these voltages you got on RAMs i got small black dots in deep freeze test, its nicely to test it with it, since its visible immediately :-)
