What is best to run R@H with.

I want to use this tread to get the most en best info on what cpu, mobo and memory is best to run R@H @ Xtreme, what do you think guy's.

    My best rig is at the moment my NC a64 3200+ on a DFI nF3 250 with 1x512mb ocz pc3200 VX @ 11x223=2453mhz @ 1.6v 2-2-2-6-13-16.

    Benhcmark was

    3361 mips Whetstone
    10291 mips Drhystone

Is this a good benchmark result,it is optimimist, well you know what i mean.

I think it does a very good job @ R@H an it's cheap to put together.

What is your best producing rig.

    Asus P5K<*>OCZ 450w<*>E6600@4.0ghz@9x445@1.450v<*>TeamXtreem DDR2-800 cl3 2x1gb<*>Sapphire 3870 512mb DDR4
    Asus P5E X48 DeLuxe<*>OCZ 700w<*>E8600 E0@4.6ghz@1.350v wc<*>Corsair Titanium DDR2-800 4x2gb<*>Sapphire 2x3870 2x512mb DDR4 CF

The best rig of team_germany is a 4400+ @ approx 2700mhz which does 1150 credits per day.
Benchmark results are: Measured floating point speed 3913.86 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed 10011.39 million ops/sec per cpu.

My personal best rig is the opteron from my sig which benchmarked 4000/12000 and does about 750 a day.

From what I read Semprons are doing quite well too. I will get one and see what it does.

Here are stats from an Sempron 2800+ @ 2700mhz that shmaa is running:

Talking Look for the Opty 170s in XS_The_Machine

followed by the slew of X2s

Forgot to mention that that was a pretty good score, Rocker . What the DCs buy you is TWICE the output @ those values

Mad MikeE and then Mrs. Mad MikeE and their Opteron 170 are whooping up on the RAC..

Followed by a bunch of x2's @ various speeds.. my x2 @ stock (stupid mem controller/dfi board/powersupply/other crap) does only 8400 for lower bench.

    this is 200mhz 2.2.2.5

its pretty obvious to say A64 DC chips but at their high cost I can put together two sempron rigs especially with out of our existing K7 stuff. Not bad performance either

A bit of frustration here, my best machine is my DX 3600/2mb/800, all top parts and does app 865 a day..(918 today)
DX 2400/512/533 is in the 670 range(642 today)
    and my old reliable DX P3 700/2mb/100 does app 214 a day.(399 today..a fluke?)
all 3 are running the optimised clients
    suggestions?
Other than taking a sledgehammer to them which has crossed my mind several times!
If I were going to build a top system today, I'd go for a SM H8DCE with 2-280's. Board has 2X16 slots so SLI is available. Looks to me to be the top all around best combo. Not cheap but would love to see the benchmarks on that system.

Since i've only had AMD for a few day's i will let more experienced users get technical, but #! OPTY's #2 X2 (soon dual 140 pin Opty's will be taking big price drop and that would probably be the ultimate, Dual core dual cpu. DDTUNG will probably be able to report that info. in a month or so) a guess
MOBO DFI UT NF4 seems to be the weapon of choice.
Ram Mikee should of listed that, Tccd seems good for me so far (still testing)

For CPU, X2/Dual core Opty's are the best hands down (but maybe the 955xe will be a good chip?). As far as the ram goes, I dont know if we figured out whether or not Rosetta like bandwith or tight timings. Anyone got some ram that run ~240 2-2-2-5 and some tccd that run 280 2.5-3-3-7? Just run the benchmark (with cpu as close to same speed as possible) with those 2 sets and will get a good answer.

of the top 20 computers in Rosetta 14 of them are DC AMD's and i think most of the others are multiple machines running under the same ID in order to boost their RAC and possibly point output.

here is the link to the top 20 computers in rosetta.
    http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/top_hosts.php

and on a side note 2 of the top 20 are mine and 2 of them are from XS_TheMachine.

you can not beat a dual core AMD in resetta unless it is dual Dual core's.

I don't think that I would bet on the 955XEs being that great in this. Intel just doesn't measure up to AMD with this project.

I will try, i sure want this thing crunching asap, but my XP4000 Redline will do 250 2225 and G.Skill is running 275 2.5447 atm testing. Will tighten up to 33 hopefully tomorrow.I got a lot to learn in the meantime Mikee & Mary are helping me on A64 tweaker sure makes a diference

So its safe to say that dual opteron is the way to go in R@H .

That's good to hear, becaus in the comming month's i want to upgrade my game rig(now s754 3200+) to s939 and pci-e,and with the comming price drop from AMD i want to profit from that to buy something,or maybe a good 2hand one,but what, single or dual opty or X2(budget +-350€) to combine has game/crunch rig.

Any idea's guy's what's the best way to go,mobo will by DFI nF4,ram good old BH5.

I will try that 240 2226 on my s754 3200+ ,i know it can go up to 270,max was 273,well i'll see how far it wants to go,i will have to change psu to get some decent volt's,so be patience i will get it done, just cant say when .

I have no TCCD .........yet!! ,only BH5,VX and some budget memory.

What can the budget ram do? Some of those 2gig sets might also be pretty good, with 280 3-3-3-8 or so. Thats one of the reasons I thought the 955xe would be pretty good. If someone other than Fugger could get that ram (400fsb 4-3-2-4) and the 955xe to run 12*400 daily, that would be a sweet rig.
