I've seen some apps that Change the Vcore but None that change the Multi

CrystalCPUID that FCG suggested will change the multi, works fineOriginally Posted by nn_step
just doesn't change the Vcore. It may work if I had the Vcore settings at default in bios but I'm using 113% x 1.50v

Ok, GCPUID does the same thing as CrystalCPUID, it will change the multi but not Vcore. The options are there in both programs but with the DC and X2 if you use special vid settings then the options do nothing to Vcore.

Imo it would be better to not be able to change all that in windows, just think the damage that somestimes happens to the OS from upping FSB in windows, I wouldn't change vcore in windows if I could - best left for BIOS whilst your system isn't running the OS

I'm not trying to be a smart A but if changing vcore from windows is an issue AMD and Intel will need to rethink PowerNow/CnQ and Speedstep.Originally Posted by Morgoth

Yeah Cool N Quiet does just that....while you're in windows doing tasks or idling. No damage. I think Major just wants some ease of use.

I know, I guess I was off topic with my comment. Just saying I personally don't think there is a problem changing Vcore in windows, and was using Cnq, etc as an example.
Major what version of Crystal are you using? Beta 5? 4.6 or something was the last official release but it's a bit old. I have used Crystal for probably 2 or 3 years, the author seems on top of everything. I am a bit suprised the bugs aren't worked out as of yet. Don't have DC so I don't know but I would be suprised.

Perhaps a dumb question: doesn´t RMClock do the job?
No experience with X2s, just an idea...
