    AMD 3700 San Diego

Ok guys i got the AMD 3700 San Diego 0515SPMW from monarch a while ago. Do all the SD with this stepping/week oc EXACTLY the same? On a msi neo 2 platinum, i need 1.65V+ to get it stable at 2.9Ghz.. But for others, it requires less voltage.. So do all these chips with the same week and stepping oc the same?

Not to stray too much off topic, but what are you using for cooling? Mines at 2915 mhz currently with 1.520v applied to it while im running Prime95 for stability testing. Im using a Big Typhoon for the cooling and it hovers the temp at around 49 under load. (Still dont think I have it set right..)

    -edit-

Upon further searching, I learn that the Swiftech in your sig is a water cooling apparatus.

Im using a swiftech CPU waterblock and GPU waterblock. Im using 2 radiators right now.. each one has 2 x 120mm SilenX fans on them.. I can never get 2915 with 1.52 during Prime95......Ya, so i wanna get higher clocks like ppl like u.. im thinking whether if its my mobo or ram that is limiting mee because i get crappy results now.. I even took off the HSF

Well, im not honored by far. I cant go no higher. If I dare go to 2950 or so, it fails and BSODs seconds after the setting, even with higher voltages. 3ghz dont seem too feesable with this chip, although im not quite done yet. More experements tomorrow.

If your thinking that its your ram, lower the dividers.

Turok, Bachus and myself have 0515SPMW I've had mine 3000mhz 1.6v stable SP2004, and he's had his stable @ 3300mhz stable but I do not know the voltage, my Neo2 needed gobs of voltage for 2900mhz (1.8 or around there....) It would be worth the upgrade to a DFI motherboard.

Oh ok, thanks for the reply. This is extremely comforting to hear today.. probably the best news i have heard!! for my neo 2, i need lots of voltage, and im not even sure if its stable.. For my ram, i cant even set it on 1T stable on stock... so im hoping that when i switch, it would make my life so much easier.. Whats SP2004 btw??

The only stability tests i have heard of are:

    Prime 95
    sisoft sandra
    SNM
    OCCT
    SuperPI
    MemTest 86

    Thanks again for your reply

^^ SP2004 is StressPrime 2004, its prime 95 with a really nice GUI

Also, if your ram isnt BH or CH type ram, I'd switch over to a diff bios 1.36b was better suited for BH and CH type memory.
