I've decided to come join the push on this project. Its looking like it could be a good one like d2ol but hopefully without the other stuff involved this time. Oh and i tryed the new client that shmaa gave a link for and it doubled my bench! (also tried the one moddolicous gave and it slowed it back down again) so Ive gone with the first one.

I've got a question: my rig downloads work and is doing fine except for one thing: it does about 3/4 workunits and idles a lot in between. Now I tried to find out what was wrong here, but I didn't find anything at all.

Any help is welcome, I want my rig to run full throttle all the time
    Main rig:
    CPU: I7 920C0 @ 3.6Ghz (180*20)
    Mobo: DFI UT X58 T3eH8
    RAM: 12GB OCZ DDR3-1600 Platinum
    GPU/LCD: GeForce GTX280 + GeForce 8600GTS (Quad LCDs)
    Intel X25-M G2 80GB, 12TB storage
    PSU/Case: Corsair AX850, Silverstone TJ07

In general preferences, is the option "Do work while computer is in use" on "no"?
If it is, set it to yes and see if that fixes our problem.

You'll have to manually update your client for new preferences to take affect. Forgot to mention that. Then you should be full throttle 24/7.

alright I'm a tad confused. I installed everything like it said on the first page, now what do I do? I'm at a "Project URL" thing in the BOINC manager.

edit : OK here's where I'm at. Is this right?

    Enter: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta

Then it will have you create your account.

Once you have your account created, close the BOINC manager and install the SSE2 optomized files found here: http://www.bm-makler.de/setiathome/b...lon64_SSE2.zip
Just unzip them right into the BOINC folder.

All the options for how the client runs are changed from the website found here: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/home.php

Don't forget to join XS before you submit any finished work.

    Hope that helps

Like I said, I created everything, the optimizations are in, I just don't know how to make it start.

    1 client for 1 rig.

you might need to go to your preferences on the website and set it so rosetta can use up to 4 cpu's (not sure if it will use HT though).

    So what does rosetta prefer?
    High clocked A64?
    P4 with HT?

is the output of dualcore/dual processor 2x a single core in rosetta/?
