I'm in Installed on a p3 for now but when I get home after the hols it's going on my X2.
Oh ya... Happy New Year all
Someone needs to do correct some spelling at XS's Rosetta page.
Someone needs to change this to renowned.
Anal little fecker, ain't I?

Doesn't this mean we should sticky this IN A NEW ROSETTA FORUM
Another Year, Another Project - OH FUGGER PLEASE (And thank you)
I've decided to come join the push on this project. Its looking like it could be a good one like d2ol but hopefully without the other stuff involved this time. Oh and i tryed the new client that shmaa gave a link for and it doubled my bench! (also tried the one moddolicous gave and it slowed it back down again) so Ive gone with the first one.
I've got a question: my rig downloads work and is doing fine except for one thing: it does about 3/4 workunits and idles a lot in between. Now I tried to find out what was wrong here, but I didn't find anything at all.
Any help is welcome, I want my rig to run full throttle all the time
Main rig:
CPU: I7 920C0 @ 3.6Ghz (180*20)
Mobo: DFI UT X58 T3eH8
RAM: 12GB OCZ DDR3-1600 Platinum
GPU/LCD: GeForce GTX280 + GeForce 8600GTS (Quad LCDs)
Intel X25-M G2 80GB, 12TB storage
PSU/Case: Corsair AX850, Silverstone TJ07
Ok... who just edited the team info? I'm the only one who can do it and I was going to, and it was edited.... time to change the password methinks

In general preferences, is the option "Do work while computer is in use" on "no"?Originally Posted by Martijn
If it is, set it to yes and see if that fixes our problem.
It was, thanks

You'll have to manually update your client for new preferences to take affect. Forgot to mention that. Then you should be full throttle 24/7.Originally Posted by Martijn
I know, it said so when I pressed the 'save stats' button. It has now 4 wu's downloaded and is running 100% for the first time whilest gamingOriginally Posted by shmaa

alright I'm a tad confused. I installed everything like it said on the first page, now what do I do? I'm at a "Project URL" thing in the BOINC manager.
edit : OK here's where I'm at. Is this right?

Then it will have you create your account.
Once you have your account created, close the BOINC manager and install the SSE2 optomized files found here: http://www.bm-makler.de/setiathome/b...lon64_SSE2.zip
Just unzip them right into the BOINC folder.
All the options for how the client runs are changed from the website found here: http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/home.php
Don't forget to join XS before you submit any finished work.
Hope that helps
Like I said, I created everything, the optimizations are in, I just don't know how to make it start.Originally Posted by shmaa

There's nothing under the "work" tab or anything. Pretty sure nothing is happening =P

I have a Q.
How many clients can you run with a DX rig or a64 rig,is it the same as D2OL,DX rig 4 clients, ore just 1 client for 1 rig.
Can somebody inlight me.
Asus P5K<*>OCZ 450w<*>E6600@4.0ghz@9x445@1.450v<*>TeamXtreem DDR2-800 cl3 2x1gb<*>Sapphire 3870 512mb DDR4
Asus P5E X48 DeLuxe<*>OCZ 700w<*>E8600 E0@4.6ghz@1.350v wc<*>Corsair Titanium DDR2-800 4x2gb<*>Sapphire 2x3870 2x512mb DDR4 CF
1 client for 1 rig.
you might need to go to your preferences on the website and set it so rosetta can use up to 4 cpu's (not sure if it will use HT though).
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
So what does rosetta prefer?
High clocked A64?
P4 with HT?
is the output of dualcore/dual processor 2x a single core in rosetta/?
Yay finally got some work. Only does 1 at a time though =\
