Rosetta should be fun... maybe I should start doing it again...

Guys the thing with Rosetta is points cant be transferred. Thats why we are down about 8000ish points as Windforce had completed these prior to joining the team. So if you want to go with XS join ASAP and make those points count.

we are now doing about 2100/6h which gives us 8400/day with only 12 members on our team. This brings us in daily top20. Looking good

My rig can download wu's, but it does only one and then stops... It refuses to dl/do more. Anyone help me please!! Is Rosetta the same as D2OL (in the way of having a work buffer of amount-X)?

This I'm not quite sure of myself. You can set the Connect to network how you like but does he only upload at the same amount or is this only WU's that he is caching?

I'm thinking the last but I'm not sure.

Also, as Lost Prophet has mentioned before... install the SSE optomized client for AXP's and the SSE2 optomized client for A64 / P4. I saw a huge boost going to these.

hm.. seems the clients dont actually increase performance, just inflate your bench scores...

How do you see that it works,al i see in tab projects is(in dutch)"communicatie uitgesteld 22:23:04"in english"communication delate to 22:23:04",in those other tabs is nothing to see, this is so for the last hour do i have to wait longer or what.

    Whats the problem ?

Set up your preferences here.. http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/home.php

Go to "General Preferences" and set it so your computer does work while in use, etc. etc.

Assign your computer to the location you set the prefrences for by going to "View Computers"

Click update from the BOINC manager and see if you start doing work.

    Yes, BUT

If the bench scores are done wrong because the BOINC client itsself does not detect the CPU speed correctly, you will get LESS credit.

So it's important you do use these optimized client.

Nothing changes to your output, but your benchmark results are CORRECT now. They do not inflate them, they correct them. The boinc framework itsself that runs these benches does not support SSE, SSE2 etc, Rosetta however does.

So if you base your score on the boinc benchmarks you'll get less points for work you did.

It's weird and confusing but just trust me on this one. It is not cheating that you are doing it is in fact rectifying so that your CPU performance is measured correctly

Well at the moment freedc stats report us at 59,815, but if you add them together it should show 67359.

When I look at the rosetta site we go to 61116 so it appears that the points dont transfer like I said. This was explained in the thread on the rosetta cafe. Link is further up the page.

So like I said its better to join straightaway for the team as an indivual it doesnt matter as you still get ranked on total points.

takes time to get your first WU's it seems. Might be the server is busy.

I joined the XS team this morning and still dont have any work done on the FDC stats page, i dont even have recognition as a team member yet. Maybe the servers are slow.
