Damn!! I dont even want to imagine the OC potential of that chip...

Mine, week 51, is doing 2.25Ghz @ 1.85v with the Alpha...

So lets figure it out how much can that cpu OC....

    Cya!

Anyway, at work these 3 JUIGB went into MSI K7N420-Pro motherboards. These can change FSB, multipliers and up Voltage some. Since they are work computers, I can't push them to the limit, but my own computer I've set to 12.5x137 MHz at 1.60 V so far (just upped V to make sure it runs 24/7), which means 1712 MHz. I will try to up an FSB step at a time every other day or so. Multiplier can't be set higher than 12.5 on this mobo.

If I get one home, I *will* post. :-)
Hopefully you will, because this 12.5x137 shouldn't be anywhere near these chips potential.

It would be quite interesting to see how an 0302 chip will do since it seems like many of the 0301 chips haven't been doing so well. Hopefully we can look forward to better things out of later weeks!

I've just about reached the limit of my chip, Jiucb 0251, 1934 Mhz, with SLK800.

I got a bit higher, but not perfectly stable, approx. 1950 was ok for win, but it would hang in Prime95.

    http://olit.no-ip.com/oc.jpg

Did I mention that this was on 1.7V?

Can't get higher right now, my KT3-Ultra-Aru won't let me overvolt more than 0.1V, but I'm convinced that It would hit 2100 @1.85, As it is now, all that's missing is some extra Voltage, I can feel it!

Not that bad for the "worst" version of the chip.

    Running Prime95 @ 1952 Now

    Very poor results...

    My Tbred A could do that....it did 2Ghz @ 1.7V prime95 stable!

But for 50 bucks....it always is a nice result

does anyone think this could be a 2600+ core that was down clocked for marketting purposes? It would seem rational since the chips seem to be magical. If someone can get over 2.4gh with good cooling count me in on the deal.

Jack the multiplier up, that is what I did. I virtually have the same motherboard. I'm using default voltages on everything also. The only other thing I recall changing was changing the cpu spread spectrum to 0.75% which made me be able to go past 155mhz no problem.

I was able to hit 2.2ghz on it in fuzzy logic, I think it's just limited to the lack of voltage settings on this motherboard.

I ran prime 95 for 2 days also, not 1 single crash. Cpu running at 39celcius, 42c is the highest it's hit.

    Peace

What stepping do you have? I've actually tried using a lot of different combinations, low fsb and high multi, but I'll go and try some more now.

I've seen a lot worse results with watercooling.

    And, Mine is AirCooled.

But still, I belive that the B-Chip's want more Vcore.

    Smile My take

Picked up an OEM Athlon XP 1700+ JIUCB 0250 chip 2 weeks ago, have been playing with it for a week now.

Able to clock to a aircooled max of 2.1GHz, 200FSB 10.5 multiplier however require 1.8 - 1.84 Vcore to be stable. Temperatures are too hot approaching 60C during full load in my small Lian Li PC-35 case. Got 16,100 points in 3D mark through
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5734604

So I told myself no more than stock vcore of 1.6V and played around with the multipliers and FSB only. 180FSB and a 11 multiplier runs good 1984.6 MHz. 45C idle, 50C full load. With the fans on the power supply and intake fan set very, very low.

Rest of my setup is Samsung PC2700 256MB of RAM, SLK800 with YS Tech TMD fan, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro retail, and Asus A7N8X DLX motherboard.

Ok, I got my two Tbred-B 1700+ JUICB CPUs, thanks Hardass for your help!

I've tried one CPU so far, not in my A7N8X, only an A7N266-VM which can't control the multipliers, even though the BIOS has a setting for it. But FSB works. Also, there is no Voltage setting either. I was worried this 1.5 V CPU would give up early, but MBM reports 1.65V in Windows! Anyone care to explain?

Anyway, 177 MHz FSB is how far I reached running SETI 100 % in the background, giving the CPU 1942 MHz on 1.65 V. Air cooling is a very decent Igloo Silent Breeze, 19 dB.

Here's the pic of the sister CPU, I hope to have time to run this CPU in my A7N8X tomorrow. Then we shall see if it is the A7N2666-VM that tops at 177 MHz or the CPU at 1942 MHz.

I've been fiddling around with the MSI KT3 Board, once again i'm using the JIUCB 0251 XP1700, here are the results so far:

    11x180 + 1.6 vcore - Stable
    11x185 + 1.65 vcore - Stable
    11.5x180 + 1.7 vcore - Stable
    12x170 + 1.6 vcore - Blue screens after running some burn-ins

Oh by the way, try this
    CPU Spread Spectrum 0.75%/FSB 170/Multiplier 12/Vcore 1.7
    Mem Settings - USER/HCLK/CAS2/3T/6T/3T/4W/4Q

All other mem settings leave stock.

Try using those settings as a basis to fiddle around. If anyone else can make some suggestions, please do so.

Here are my initial findings on one of my two brand new 1700+ JUICB0251 CPUs:

    9.5x200 = 1900 MHz 1.60V (default) stable
    10x200 = 2000 MHz 1.60V POST, no Win boot
10x200 = 2000 MHz 1.65V POST, Win boot, crash on desktop
10x200 = 2000 MHz 1.70V (1.73V MBM) POST, Win boot, apps run, no 3D game test yet...

So it seems to be about the same.

Only odd thing is, while my Tbred-A RIRGA ran 1.65V 1800 MHz at 50 C, this CPU ran 1900 MHz 1.6V at 33 C and 2000 MHz 1.7V at 38 C! Both readings are with latest MBM patch for diode reading. Cooling is a Volcano 9+.
