    still having wierd voltage issues with tis expert mb.

    ok today i decided to give my expert mb another try and see if i could get it to allow me to change the voltages without going blk and causing me to have to clear the c-mos. well it seems the only way i can get it the voltage to change is to pull one stick of mem out then make the voltage change then once back into windows i would have to shut downt the system and add the second stick of memory. the wierd part is that i was stuck at auto anything else or any other combo of settings to the voltages was a no go. i even tried that new 12-7 death fix bios wich didnt help either, seems for now all i can do is what i mentioned above. oh and yes i have tried both yellow and orange slots nothing helps....

    thx perc,

    I had similar problems with a DFI 925X-T2...I think it's a DFI design problem. To answer your question though, stick with the SLI-DR for now.

    In answer, sounds like you ought to RMA it to DFI, since most people seem to be able to change their voltage on their experts without trouble.

    You tried the RAM in the other two slots? I gather slots 2 and 4 are more stable than 1 and 3, so maybe that could help?

    guys guys.. its christmas
    chill out ok?

    i dont think percs post is hard to read or understand even though an english teacher prolly would have wiped the red pen all over it

    about the issue hmmm sounds like a bios bug to me... dont think its a desing issue, rather a bios issue...
    you cant change vdimm or vcore?
    if you cant increase vdimm, then maybe this is some sort of protection dfi added so epople dont use low vcore with high vdimm as it can kill some a64 cpus?
    what vcore are you at?

    but ten agan, its also present on a 865 board, then i think its just a dfi bios bug...

    @Perc,
    Work on your punctuation and syntax a little bit better next time, please. Better yet, fix your first post so nobody else picks on you again

    @anyone else,
    If you can't help don't post here and go off-topic, please.

    Thank you!

    well atm im at all stock voltages im not even over clocking im still trying to increase the voltages before i go any further. i noticed it when i was doing some 05 runs and needed a lttle more juice outta the cpu and tried to change the voltage from auto to 1.4v i never touched the vid voltage setting and as far as mem goes i use either ballistix o tccd mem wich both i never use more then 2.7v no mater the over clock... just a verry wierd situation and for some reason i dont think its the actual mb...

    thx perc,
