    Angry X1800XT not OCing well!

Well I got my MAZE4 on my GPU finally and things arent going very well so far, I have it running a 720/850 well, but I tried it at 730 and the CPU shut down as soon as it finished the last 3D05 test, had it at .1 over stock voltage and put it to 750, but it crashed again, it also has crashed randomly while doing nothing (maybe CPU?) though the 3D05 crashes reek of GPU to me. Im using the 5.13s (I heard someone say the 12.13s kill OCing in this card?!) the card runs at about 45c and 50c Max at load. Im going to run some testing with CPUs at stock, but assuming these issue are not CPU related what thoughts/suggestions do you have?

    huh?

well 720 is 100mhz above stock, and thats without any vgpu bumps, right?
thats a 15% oc wich doesnt sound bad at all for a high end card if you ask me... what did you expect?

Thats not bad Im refering more to the inability of the card to even run 750 at a voltage most are getting it in the 800s on.

well some scale beter than others...
make sure the block is making good contact, the water isnt running too hot, the power circuicy is cooled, the memory chips are cooled, and maybe try other drivers?

thats all i can think of...

    Might try to flash bios.
I crashed early on since vcore was low, made around 710 orginal.
Flashed I make 795/800 with watercooling.
    40c idle and 52 load.

hmm mine does 650 without problems but when i raise to 660 in ATI Tool screen turns black and i have to reboot. Ideas to solve this ? Might the card be at its limits ? Haven`t tried to raise vgpu yet.

Thats an easy fix, Im suprised you even got it overclocked with ATI tool as most people cant even use that thing to get a couple of MHz because the ATI tool doesnt work with the X1800s as far as OCing goes yet, use driverheavens x1800 tool.

@BOBDOLER: first i want to thank you mate i've dl this tool (named "overclocker" right ?!) i only used atitool to check Errors. I can look but i think overclocker is freezing too when going over 650, but i`ll try this next. What program do u use for errorchecking ?

@Chri$ch: disabled both, have read about it some time ago thx anyways

1.3V is not the stock voltage 3D it's the stock voltage in 2D mode...
If you will OC or use the Overclocker tool ( after have disable service etc..) you need increase voltage and then use the 2D clock.

Iám using 2D mode to overclock already, but are you sure about the 3D voltage ? I know that th PE Bios puts it to 1,48 in 3D but is it the same for stock bios ?
