    X2 3800 temps

Just built my first system, the specs are below. I'm using the stock heatsink and fan. Question I have is that it's temp at idle is about 32C and loaded (playing COD2 or Far Cry etc) it's running at 49-50C. Is that normal? Think I need to add an aftermarket hs?

yes the load temp is normal, your idle temp is actually pretty low.

More timid people would worry at around 55, but I suppose maaybe 60 would be fine. AMD rates their CPU's to go up to 60-65, so yep.

the stock heatsink with the x2 3800 is why the temps are so high.
