    How much is your electric bill?

    I could swear this has been discussed before, but I came up empty when I searched the D2OL forum for it... Don't shoot me if it has been...

    Just got my first bill in my new place... $145 pro-rated for 22 days

    EDIT: I live in an apartment....

    I hope my landlord won't notice my 2 rigs crunching 24/7 (well, one is down now, but it's a small exception)

    what the hell you pay for telephon and electrics????????
    6mbit dsl with normal telephon --> 65€/month
    energy for my 30m² --> now 31€/month
    last year it was 30€/month and I still have to pay the missing 33€

    So not even 100€ all in all - how you can spend that much money on this? I wouldn't even reach 100€/month electrical with 2-3 more compressor rigs ^^

    I'm afraid to look, between the 5 PC's in this house, the PS's add up to 2450 watts..and we the citizens of NH have the wonderfull bonus of paying off the failed Seabrook nuclear power plant.The brain surgeons that run this state "Guaranteed" the investors in the nuc plant a profit and they are getting it and WE are paying it.

    We are down to ~$95-$100 per month now. In my height of distributed computing madness that was up around the $180-$200 per month level.

    About $55 if I just have my server and my notebooks running permanently and the experimental stuff only when using it.

    If I am in computer turnover I dual-prime a pair of additional overclocked computers constantly and end up with $80-$90.

    in the summer +/- 300 USD and winter is about 150 or so. But the summer was skewed because I shut off a few rigs to try and keep it cool while not having the A/C compressor running 24/7.

    hehe, yeah I was really hoping 3800vcore might stay unbanned for abit, simply so he could keep posting more stuff like whats in your sig. Cuz really, while his time here was (Xtremely) short, his material was classic.

    He's still banned? How about starting a thread to get him unbanned and give him a hole section on XS.

    Something like: 3800venicecore's daily column, you name it.

    3800venicecore come back, we love you

    Just to scratch on the topic, my electric bills are zero, it's included on the rent. I just hope that the landlord has no way to check how much I'm spending with two crunchers

    Average 100 usd.a month. Electric company just got a 33% raise in rates because our electricity is 60% generated with natural gas and 40% coal.
    My wife has royalties in a few gas wells but the check we get from that goes to pay the increased electric & gas bill

    Around 400$/month, but mainly because A/C is on at least in one room in the house 24/7.
    My rig @ the sig + 3 more rigs are also on 24/7 :-)

    Same here man, same here. We got 3 rigs goin 24/7 here. My grandma pays $50 a month, and I think she says the rent she makes pay for most of her living expenses (+ she baby sits on the side). Maybe I could get a couple of rigs over there?
