    MemTest86 On Bootable CD

I don't use floppies or have a FDD installed in my rig but would like to run MemTest86 from CD.

I downloaded the .iso image but now what?

Use your CD burner to write it onto a CD as an ISO image. An ISO image is a single file that represents the contents of an entire disk (the CD, in this case).

How that is done depends on your burn software. I use Nero, and select File->Burn Image. Then I click on the image file in the file explorer in Nero and burn away.

Thanks. I just got this CD-RW and it came with Nero. I will try your approach and report back.

Thank you again for the quick response.

Worked like a charm and just as you described.

Being able to run MemTest from my CD allowed me to eliminate my memory as the culprit for not being able to run @ 200 fsb since I can run MemTest86 @ 200fsb with Turbo settings just fine.

It's either one of the PCI cards, HD (which I don't think because I disabled DMA in Win and Bios and used PIO 4) or the 9700.

    Thanks again!
