    Mouse Issue

I have a strange Issue not to big of a deal but if ya can help please post

I have a 2100 tbred b and it will fly as soon as I get my KD7-e in. right now it is in a 8k3a+ and I can not get any of the multiplyers to work I am 99% stable at 13 x 190 and only 1.8v 33c load temps

the problem is it will do prime95 all day long and folding as well. anything I run is great but the damn mouse keeps locking up folding or prime keeps chugging away but the damn mouse will not move

any help on the multiplyer or mouse would be apriciated

and any suggestions on the fsb would be good also I have Samsung PC3200 and it was running fine in my 4g4a at DDR430 speed so I doubt it is that holding me at 190 fsb

I have a GF2 in the rig since it is only used for folding

When the mouse locks up, are you still able to navigate around using the keyboard? In other words, if you hit the windows key, does the start menu pop up?

hmm. three things come to mind.

reinstall the mouse driver. try another PS2 mouse. try a usb mouse. either the driver isn't installed correctly, the mouse is bad, or the PS2 port is bad.

if the box is just for folding, run the multiplier high and the fsb lower. maybe the PS2 port craps out at high FSB speeds.

that is my guess also but not sure

It was folding for about 3 months no problems with my 1600 @ 10.5 x 185 now I have a 2100 tbred and am at 13 x 190 (max I can get on the mobo) not sure why yet but I am thinking of trying a few bios's like the 2b01 I have the 2815 right now

you could cut the bridges so it's locked at a 14x multiplier.

i'd just try running it at 13 x 185MHz to see if that fixes the mouse problem. ya know, before you go cutting bridges.

ya like I said I have a KD7-e on the way hope that solves the issue

I am still trying to decide on memory OCZ 3500 or Corsair 3200 to go with the KD7-2
