I seem to be having some trouble running two instances at onces. Can anyone help......

    I open 2

    Calculate both to 1m

Start both as fast as possible

Right after starting the second i get an error msg saying
    NO CONVERGENT IN SQR05

    EDIT:
I did some more research solved the problem. Did not have SPI in two different folders. Was loading them from the same location........

Sounds like it is overheating and failing with both cores crunching. Increase the cooling to the CPU first, contact pressure, correct TIM, air paths.

    Machine type and OC?

    Temps?

For potential multi-core versions, a simple command line switch to select number of instances would do the trick.
All crunching 24/7, both cores 100% loaded

What do I earn by validating?

I have validated my SuperPI result, but i wonder what the validation do? I just get "Checksum matches" and nothing more.. please explain what validation actually do..:P

If you think a result is faked then you check the validation checksum. It does nothing else

Superpi has this feature: "2005/02/27 Added more cheat protection. Try to cheat and it'll crash "

It crashes everytime I try to run it. No difference if I push the sytsem hard or not.

Any way to fix this? The normal version runs without problems.

Your machine stability would be the first thing to check. The program is a simple pi algorithm. I highly doubt the program is flawed as too 10+ million downloads there has been two reports of inability to run the program.

Most likely memory is pushed too far or defective.

Apparently there is bug in Super PI mod xs. Could you please look into those two threads:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=154295
    and

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=54389&page=4
( post from kamuiGT and foch3 -USA- ).

Last thing to add is that ver 1.4 and 1.5 crashes while I can run 1.1e just fine.

    Thanks.

Just wondering if because some people are using SuperPi 1.5 XS the checksum does not work?

I just downloaded SuperPI 1.5 XS since on a couple of sites thats I looked at most of the people were using SuperPI 1.5 XS.

When I try to validate the checksum it says invalid though and I have tried multiple times with the range from 16kb to 2MBs and everytime it fails the checksum on the website.

Here is a sample of one of my runs (yes I know its not a record but then again the system is still at stock speeds)
