How much of an increase from this memory change?

Right now Im getting 29.8k in 01 with my current memory.

    My setup is:
    Opteron 146@ 290x10
    Asrock Dual SATA2
    2GB DDR400 value ram
    X800XT PE

Im running at 3:2 putting the ram at around 193mhz ..... Im going to be going to 1GB PC4800 so i will be going from 193mhz 2T to 290mhz 1T.... any idea how much my 01 will go up with this increase. Thanks. Im pretty sure that will put me well over 30k but just wondering how much over.

That would make quite a bit of difference...not only are you going up in FSB but also going to 1T timing which gives you more bandwidth as it is.

512x2 with me at 1T timing stock gives me about 7.6GB of Bandwidth
512x4 @ 2T timing stock gives me only about 5.7GB of Bandwidth

    3.06GHz Core 2 Duo
    8GB DDR3
    1TB HDD + 2TB Ext + 1TB Ext

    20" iMac
    2.4GHz Core 2 Duo
    2GB+1GB G.Skill DDR2
    320GB HDD
    ATI HD 2600 Pro 256MB

    This score is relatively low, I ran my Sandy @ 2915 (265*11) and a GTO2@16pp 499.5/499.5, 3Dmark01 can score 31332

Im not going up in FSB......... Im just going up in memory speed. My fsb will stay the same, i just wont be running a ratio.

Yeah but what speed are you running your ram at?

Your FSB is the speed of your Mem. HTT would be on the CPU.

Changing between from 2T to 1T gives roughly a 1-3% preformance increase, there isn't much change. Test it out with programs between the 2, and use the same amount of memory. You can find threads about this all over the place now, DFI-Street forums, Overclocker forums, probably on here (haven't looked yet).

As for increase in score, I'd say you'd see an increase since 01 loves hardware speed increases, and probably a have way decent increase, but 30k I think is definatlly well within reach.
