which is the default GPU voltage for X1800XT ?

The defult volt is 1.275 on my card. but sometimes when i play games the voltage jumps up to 1.375 automatic...very strange.

So what exactly is the exact default voltage on the card? And is ATITool reading the proper voltage for the memory as well on the card? Is it possible that there is a 2D voltage and a 3D voltage?

This is my 05 score with stock CPU speeds. Card was at 690/800

heheheh, congrats man, GL with the new card!, were all loving our's!

Well things ae looking a bit better for me. After reading a fair lot of posts here on XS, ive pretty much got it nailed now.

using the Tool to oc and set the fan speed, and checking clocks with ATI-tool and changing volts.

Just did an 05 run ar 708/819 actual clocks, i upped the fan speed to 4000RPM, and upped the Vcore to 1.3, got 9881, which iam pretty pleased with, goal is 10k. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1502128

So what is stock volts on these cards then for sure?

I am not sure if anyone knows the actual stock voltage or is 100% sure on what it is. I guess only ATI really knows :p

9972 at 715/828 1.3 Volts. Id did 728 core and it crashed, so seems this is the limit on the core, with these volts, load temps are about 60 odd Cat 75% fan speed, bit scared of using more volts, lol.

Nah I used v1.450 and it was fine...just watch your temps is all. Use ATITool and have it save temps to a log so you can go back and see what your high was.

Also what 3rd Party Coolers will work on this card and which would be best for cooling. I want to stay with Air-Cooling. But I would like a better cooler. I know the stock is good but there is always room for improvement.

*If it ain't broke make it even better!* LoL

what CAT drivers you using ugp ?

I haven't touched the mem voltages as bit confused what is for what ? there' s 2 mem voltages

    1. MVDDC = core voltage of mem chips
    2. MVDDQ = voltage of memory output buffers

when should either or both be increased ?

I just ran through 05 twice at 715/846 and it gave me lower scores than the post above, that had lower memory clocks.

    No memory artifacts at 846.

EDIT: Even with 722/846 i cannot reach the score i got at 715/828???

    I am using v5.11s

I saw someone using some other drivers and I cannot find where to download them at.

I will continue searching for higher clocks when I get home.

I was hitting 880 with stock voltage...didn't pursue that any further

900 gave me artifacts but eva2000 said he applied more Core voltage and got artifact free on a clock.

I want to max out my core first.

question for stock heatsink are those voltage increases too high or within normal range ?

So what's the deal with subzero on the latest retail X1800XT's, are they friendly with it or no, anyone knows?

Ok, never mind, found this: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=81738, obviously, a more proper place for the discussion

Well the question is, what are the temps underload? If its pretty cool I'd say the voltage is good. Whats the amps it uses under that load under ATITool?

    @749/891
    GPU idle = 46-47C
    GPU load = 58-60C

didn't check the amps have to do that heh

Also, question with X1800XT i tried disabling CCC via service manager and benched 3dmark05 and keep getting 50-90pts lower.. was wondering if CCC's features such as DXT are disabled if CCC is disabled causing lower performance ?
