8 pin Power supply plug?? Can I make one?

I am wondering what the 8 pin plug does for the new powersupplies. Can you make one (mod your old PS)?

    Is it extra grounds, 2 x 12v, 2 x 5v, 2 x 3.3v or what?

    thanks

Use an adapter. I used a Thermaltake labeled one with my Zalman PSU with my dual Opteron board. Worked just fine.

    In each 4pin connector its 2x +12v, 2x Ground. So therefore in a 8pin it'd be 4x +12v and 4x ground.
