3000+ Venice @ 2.406, cant get any further.

    Ok.

    3000+ Venice 267x9
    1.45v
    42c load.
    3x ht
    stock air.

and 512 mb Vdata ram (generic stuff.)

Im not much into ram timings and stuff yet. But when I up my FSB any further, I cant boot even the bios. Is my ram holding me back? And is there anything I can do without getting new ram?

is the ram at a 1:1 divider? if so, set it at a lower divider and that should help you out.

    yea, and set the ram timings to 2.5 4 4 8, or 3 4 4 8.
this along with a divider should help. Also, you should be fine with 1.5 to 1.55v on your vcore. that will help you get higher too. Just try to keep temps somewhere around 50C or below at load.

Interesting that AMD would bump the multi to 10 for socket 754.

Well, just as an update, I was gonna go with 2.7, but my psu cant keep a steady 1.55vcore. ROFL. Wish I had the money to upgrade, but I dont really. Next system I build, Ill definatly be getting decent quality PSU. Anyways Im at a steady 2.6ghz, stock air, crappy ram. Its all good. :P
