    Thinking of getting an X1800XL...

I am thinking of getting an X1800XL, because I have seen some impressive overclock results on these forums, and I have a few questions. First of all, which one should I get? Currently, there are two of them on newegg. One by ATI and one by saphire. The one by saphire is $389 and the one by ATI is $429, but they both have the exact same specs and accessories. Would there be an OCing difference between the two? Also, I hear they have pretty good stock coolers to begin with, I already own a VF700-Cu fo my 6800GT, which I could put on the X1800XL. Would it be better than the stock cooler? Also, can you provide me with links with the best tools and drivers you use for OCing? Thanks.

First of all, wrong section completely...

    Secondly...

    Best Drivers: Omega Drivers (www.omegadrivers.net)
Best OC Utility: ATI Tool (www.techpowerup.com)
Best Overall Tweaking Utility: ATI Tray Tools (bundled with omega drivers).

I'd get the Sapphire, it's the same card.

As an owner of the card:

They are both the same card, no difference.

Use the Zalman, it's better than stock cooling although you'll need ramsinks.

The best drivers are the Catalyst 5.10b drivers which are basically Cat 5.11 non_WHQL

The ONLY overclocking tool that works is the one from driverheaven in their forums.

The new beta ati tool from wizzard works well too. That'd what people are using to get 1ghz core clocks.

Yes I know, I will most likely be getting it in December, but I have heard that the earlier you get it, the more it OCs. Where can I get the beta version of ATI tool that has given the 1GHz+ results? Also, just to be clear, you recommend the 5.10b drivers and not the 5.11? Thanks, I know this was probably the wrong section, but it says you have to register and stuff to post in the Xtreme 3d section.
