    2gb Help

    Hi all.

I hate to post this thread but im totaly confused.

I currently have 2x256mb Bh5 but I can only run 512mb of ram as 3 sticks wont work this is majorly slowing me down in most modern games..
My system is a 754 mobile (newark) on DFI UT.

So im going to upgrade to 2gb of ram.

ive just read about 20 threads, and im even more confused than I was before I started. Money isnt a major problem, but id rather stay the right side of £200 if I can help it.

ATM im thinking of buying 2x1gb kit of crucial balistics BL2KIT12864Z503, is this the right part number for the high clocking stuff?

Im also looking at the Gskill HX / ZX ram, but I cant find a UK retailer..
These seem to perform good enough for me, and are quite a bit cheaper (at US prices)

Is there any other manufacturer I should consider?
And where can I buy this memory? 2gb kits seem to be hard to get in the UK.

Ive been running my old Bh5 sticks for years (literally)
As a result I havent been paying much attention to what rams good for around a year!! So im a bit clueless, sorry.

    Thanks for any help.

    Matt.

Crucial Ballistix 2 1Gb sticks.. They are Micron but THey will work fine..
Fast computers breed slow, lazy programmers
The price of reliability is the pursuit of the utmost simplicity. It is a price which the very rich find most hard to pay.
