    @ Mickeymouse

For all that know the history, he has been banned from here a few times due for many reason. We let him back on a trial basis to see if he could get along and has changed his ways. In that short time we recieved quite a few complaints on his posts.

I sent him a warning that he should end the rants and shape up and I removed his Legend status as this was not how a legend should conduct himself here.

Today, MM posted more off topic rants in Sampsa WR thread.

Being the last straw, Mickey Mouse was banned once again.

My appologies, I feel that everyone deserved an explanation as I banned him myself.

Ok I understand that you want a good clean site and commend you for running XS for all of us. But lately I cannot understand some of the moves the lead staff has made. That aside lets start on Jason's banning.

I can see how your could percieve some of Jason's post's as rants but over time I learned that that's just his style and am perfectly fine with it now. If ranting isn't ok how come GF4Ti4200 is still around? He rants but we're used to it and he stays around no problem.

When you said Jason had an OT thread in Sampsa's WR thread today I went and checked it out. Here are all the quotes of posts made by Jason.

It turns out the temps where worse and contact was perfect. It seems the thick 'TIM' AMD uses fills voids better than all the pastes we use so even tho there was a dead spot, with it removed I got worse results.

From what I can tell these are all postive helpful posts that are in no way OT rants. This leads to his post today.

In Sampsa's thread there is no post by Jason today. How did this happen? Did you decide to delete his post and leave no record of it what so ever censoring a credible member in a public forum?

I know you are the forum owner but forums are a place where opinions are expressed and should be freely.

Forum- A public meeting place for open discussion.

Lets see what the members have to say about this.

i agree with twitchy.....jason was an asset to this forum....i mean there are a lot of people here that just go on rants but when you get used to it being their style then it just seems normal....

It doesn't matter what you say, Jason is truely an Xtreme Ledgend. He has had some of the most impressive OCs seen and has pushed dry ice/ln2 cooling to a relm most people couldn't have even imagined. If anyone's help has stood out for me it's Jason's. From answering simple ram timing questions to hooking me up with some sweet cooling and explaining the best way to use it, Jason is always willing to help. If you're looking to improve your site, banning a top member is a horrible way to do it.

yeah, just remembered a funny thing back in the 9700Pro era.
On another forum, a guy wanted to find a Vddq measure point on his 9700,(was a weird, unusual model) so he asked querty57 (MM) where is that point and MM smoked his own 9700Pro trying to find a similary point of measure. And man, that 9700Pro was a champ - 800MHz on memory, air cooled
He never got upset about this issue adn finally found the damn measure point for that dude.
    That's dedication...

Everyone needs some humbling every once in a while. While Jason has done alot for the community, i think Fugger has a certain ideal in mind when thinking of the Xtreme Legends...decorum and a respect for other's opinions, i think, are part of this.

There are better ways to get a point across than what Jason does. I agree with Cpt Twitchy that this is just the way Jason is, however this is not how a professional behaves, in my opinion, and i think Fugger and I are of like minds on this matter. Hence Fugger's post with an explanation, and allowing others to give feedback...

Jason's style is to ram it down your throat. Sometimes, this is nessecary...but not all the time.

Uh guys, MickeyMouse is not dead or anything, the eulogies aren't really required. He's just not posting here. He is posting elsewhere.

Hint: This is the internet, a series of network services connected via TCP/IP. You don't even have to get out of your chair to find him. Keep it in perspective.

Yeah we know that but XS is the largest (at least for now) high end OCing community on the internet not only does banning a top member hurt the community, but it brings up questions towards the whole admin system.

Yes Jason can be aggressive in his posts and how he gets his point accross but no one is perfect. If you can't get along with other types of people you're kind of screwed... Hell we might as well ban Team Japan because english is their second language and is not as good as ours. Or how about you ban me and anyone else who is vocal in their dislike of the new "suicide shot" overclocking trend.

Everyone has their own style and their own opinion. I'm not trying to attack anyone or cause a fight. I'm just saying what I think. IMO a perma ban from the site placed on any member, especially one that is well known in the community, is a large issue. It should be spoken over and or voted on by all admins and moderators before you reach the final decision. If you guys did that then I'm sorry and I'll shut the hell up, but what happened seemed to happen pretty damn fast. I just don't like the direction this site is going in.

I was wondering how long it would take. I think he was trying but it just wasn't enough. And the CF-DR thread was just plain stupid on his part. It's OK to challenge someone, but have some respect. The way he talked to Tony in there was pathetic.

Few statements I would like to make here.
This was not taken lightly. We (XS Staff) are highly aware of what he has done or even could do for the site and its members. However, we are also aware of the flamefests he constantly brings along with him. From the first time I was staff here and now, I have seen his constant flames and flamebaiting. I could care less if "it is just his way". I can promise the tone would be much different if you were the one he was attacking/belittleing.
This was a descision that was made by all of the staff and it is one we will stand by. He might be a good OC'r, but flaming others will not be allowed, regardless of how "great" you may be.

Flamefests? Maybe your deffinition of "flamefest" is different but I haven't seen any started by him recently. From what I can see he was warned for calling out the loads of BS being spewed about the new ATI chipset boards (he HAS one of the boards and has proven that his statments were true) and then BAM! He's gone and all evidence deleted.

He even deleted some of his posts knowing that they would start a fight.

If you have failed to see them then either your definition is very loose or the staff has been doing their job at removing them before things get too far out of hand. He can make statements/opinions/facts as long as he or anyone else likes. Until it turns into actively attacking another member of this site.
There have been many posts of his recently deleted or edited.
