It works perfect . If your motherboard's chipset support ECC DRAM , then you will benefit some more Mhz .

Does your modules have parity chips ???
Count the chips and if you find 9 per side , then they have ECC . If you count 8 per side , then it's non-ECC .

Fat body (good) : D9DQT, D9DQW Fatbody low speedbinds: D9CRZ
    Sqaure (good): D9GKX, D9GMH low speedbinds: D9GCT

Do not buy any other chips, this are the only well clocking (>500mhz) capable D9 as far as I know

Long story short I was doing some cleanup in a back room at work today and found 2 sticks of these,

I did some looking into and found out that these D9CGH ic's are BT-37E which is the same as the D9DQW ic's. Unfortunatly these look like they are for IBM servers and wont plug into our DDR2 slots.

Can these ic's be swapped on to a regular ddr2 PCB?

Yes, at least if you can either reprogram the SPD or have a mainboard that ignores the SPD when the BIOS has useful frequencies.

We had the same problem before when registered modules showed up with these ICs but the whimp didn't want to solder

Well about the SPD there is a sticker on each stick, now im not 100% sure but there is 533 in one of the codes on both sticks so I am assuming its programmed for ddr2-533mhz but like I said im not 100%, i'll take better pictures tomorrow they are at work.

As far as SPD reprogramming or soldering a different chip I think thats the least of my worry to get these working. If you look closer at the picture there are pins at the bottom insted of gold contacts like regular ddr2.

Thats what has me thinking the ic's themselfs have to be swapped to "regular" style ddr2 pcb.

That is correct. Click on 'Micron DDR2 IC Info' in my sig.

They are also used on regular DDR2 PCBs, but I wouldn't recommend transferring these ICs (as I explained to you in a PM).
