    I've got all the parts I need almost to build a second , dedicated crunching rig.

    Just need to get myself a cheap-o display adapter for it ... will be a core2 e6600 that I'm gonna OC to about 3 gHz.

    That sounds great. Cheapo video adapters FTW, I use a bunch of old PCI or AGP cards (depending on the boards in use). The one cruncher has an ancient 2MB PCI trident piece of crap in it, all it needs to do is display a picture and make the system happy

    No need to go by that old guide, Pythagoras should unsticky that and I'll make a new one... the SMP client for multicores is basically self installing these days

    oh really? ive been running 2 instances to get up to 100% on both cores on the console version

    with 1 up its only 50% both cores

    I just got back to Germany from Iraq and I am now getting my PS3 and my dual core laptop up for folding while at work. I will have my desktop (see sig) up as well as soon as it makes its way over here.

    Oh yeah forgot about that. Well, he's got a 64bit CPU, is gentoo 64 bit? I don't know much about linux.
