So I just got my Swiftech Storm in...

and wtf..... NO o-rings for the barbs??? Im not sure who to contact Swiftech or Sidewinder computers (who I got it from).

This ruins my whole weekend because now I can't run it without it probably leaking. Nice going sidewinder/swiftech...

Are those even the style barb that takes o-rings? If so, you can get them at any auto parts store for like $0.16. If they aren't the o-ring type, teflon tape is all that is needed.

Yes they require orings to seal, like cartman said above, goto an autoparts store with the block and barbs, and find some o-rings that will fit.

And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

This block was made for o-rings. Go look at the swiftech diagram http://www.swiftnets.com/products/in...uide_storm.pdf its the second part listed in the picture... the 2 rubber o-rings. Im not using teflon tape on an $80 block that was supposed to ship with all the parts.

Yep, I just double checked on Swiftech's website. Any auto parts store will be able to hook you up. They carry different thicknesses, so go thicker rather than thinner if you are unsure, but 3/32-1/8 should be all that is needed.

Also, on barbs that take o-rings, I usually use teflon tape on the threads anyway...overkill I guess

Don't get too upset over this...its not worth your time or worry in contacting the manufacturer for less than $0.50 worth of parts.

Swiftech needs to send me this FREE: http://swiftnets.com/store/product_d...asp?ProdID=388

I'll go to an auto parts store though. Swiftech I wonder if this is a block someone returned and forgot to put all the parts back in.

Well, the difference is, these barbs aren't NPT, so they aren't tapered. In tapered threads, teflon tape fills small gaps until the threads tighten up. On these barbs the threads don't tighten up, the flange does, so an o-ring really is best....but I do both.

    It'll just be a packaging over-sight.

Email Swiftech and most likely they'll have some O-rings in the mail to you on Monday.

Yep. No O-rings were in the common hardware bag. Was the circle seal sticker on your box broken or cut? Mine was.

im with you cartmanea, every fitting i have has teflon tape around it.
it takes what 5 sec to wrap the threads in teflon tape for less than $ 3 a roll. to stop water leaking on a $ 150 mobo, 300 in ram, 150 in HD, 400 for CPU, 400+ for dual SLI????? and any thing else you have in your case.
